Yeah! Yeah! Its that river where they did that thing and then they went across it and they went to that place!

yep... it's the river where our dear Hobbits were clinging on for dear life as they were being chased down the river. And of course, the Dear Princess use her magic to create a tidal wave once they have safely crossed it to the other side...
This is the best i could do... as most other sites either require a 4WD (which we don't have) or, you gotta pay for admission! And a hefty sum too... was tempted to go up a place called Deer Park. This is where the Castle of Rohan (?) was situated, right on top...
However, you need to $$$ and it's a very looooong ride to the top...

Yeah I have heard that you need to pay quite a bit to enter most of the sites. The cheapest would be to book a guided tour through a travel agent. Its still quite expensive but at least everything is taken care of and quite a few locations are included in the package.
However most of the sites are not recognisable to the untrained eye, due to the heavy editing and placing of buildings and other stuff in the movie, which are of course all gone now.
You literally need to have a pictorial reference of all of the scenes in the movie taken from different angles to allow you to see what's what...

Wow, the Ford of Bruinen!! Great shot! Must have been beautiful actually being there.
Apparently places like the hill in Deer Park are really quite recognizable too. The grass from the Rohan scenes however, is all over NZ and Australia. How fun, love it for some reason. ;D
Perhaps sites like the Elven hubs won't be that recognizable. Special Elven light and slo-mo falling leaves. Heheh...

Well, the Deer Park one is easy to recognise coz right up it's peak, you can some structures there... and it's easy to imagine the castle up "there"... Others, not so...
I was trying to find a way to cross the river, but it's deep... so, this is the best i can come up with! There was another shot of something else... as we were referring to the LOTR visual guide book, but neither my friends not I can remember the scene... I'll post it up and see whether any of you folks can recall it...

No can do... coz the shot that i took, you can't see the similarities of it in relation to LOTR. My shot is done in spring, whereas the LOTR scene was done in Winter...
Sorry guys.
