Chapter 3 Part 1
Waking up, Kristen finds herself home.
It worked?
She climbs down as her mother comes out of the house.
“Kristen, your boyfriend’s here!”
Yawning, Kristen walks across the lawn and into the house to see a guy who looks remarkingly like
Legolas.
“There you are,” he says, taking her into his arms and kisses her.
“You two take care. Oh, and Luke, home by eleven.”
Kirsten walks out the front with Luke behind her.
“So, what movie are we seeing,” she asked, a bit unnerved.
“I actually thought a moonlight dinner in the park would be nice.”
“It would.”
Driving off, Luke heads for the nearby park that’s already set up. Luke gets out and races around to
open the door to help Kristen out. Closing the door, he heads over to a single table set out near some trees.
As they walk over, strains of white Christmas lights come on, surprising Kristen. As they sit down,
Kristen finds it set up like a five star restaurant.
“You did all of this?”
“With some help.”
They start enjoying their dinner, though Kristen couldn’t stop thinking about Legolas.
“Kristen,” came the familiar voice.
“What, Luke?”
“It’s Legolas.”
“Legolas?”
Kristen stands and walks over to him. She reaches out a hand to feel the face in the little light they
had. She feels the soft skin, the long blonde hair.
“It can’t be. It was all a dream.”
“So we thought.”
“You had the same dream?”
Legolas stands and leads Kristen closer to a multi-strain tree and faces her, taking both of her hands in
his.
“Ever since we met, I fell in love with you. And when you had cared for me when I was injured, it
showed me that, though we didn’t know each other, that you care for those you hardly even knew. And
those who you wish to know. I’m asking you to marry me.”
