who remembers this? it's a tv series, a short one i believe, starting Ben Bower and Claudia Black; who we now see in season 9 of SG1.

The terrestrial TV here showed it till end of season 2, and never picked it up again. Cable TV recently showed 'Peacekeeper Wars', so we know how it ended...right now I'm debating if I should get the other 2 seasons(3 & 4) on disks...
I want to know what happened in season 3 & 4, but if I don't get seasons 2 & 3, and the 'Peacekeeper Wars' on disks I'll have an imcomplete collection. If I do get seasons 1 & 2 on disks it'll mean more money spent on a series I don't particularly consider worth collecting...decisions, decisions, decisions...

Peacekeeper Wars was on Scifi either earlier this year or some time last year. i know, decisions. a shame when Scifi does the miniseries month in April, they don't show Peacekeeper Wars.

I got into Farscape late - I caught a few episodes on TV2 and they were interesting but I wasn't patient enough to sit through TV. Fast-forward a few years later, and I hear that Ben Browder is joining SG1 (my fav series, then) .. and of course I think of Farscape. I went out and got the DVDs - season 1 .. then all of it. So worth it. One of the best series I've ever watched.
Btw now they have these Starburst versions - they're cheaper than the full season DVDs (US$120 when I last saw them). They're about $18 - $22 for one disc - and 3 discs make up one season. As of late 2006, they've released all four seasons on it. You can get them cheaper off eBay of course - about $13 - $15. The benefits of these are that they have newer special features - at release, like interviews with the stars or commentaries done specifically for it (so it's newer/fresher content). It also has subtitles. I only have Season 1 of these Starburst editions (Vol. 1 to 3), but they are great.
At the time I got these, a year or so back .. they didn't release Season 2 yet - so I couldn't wait and instead I got Region 4 releases of Season 2 - 4. That's another good option as they are much much cheaper. They ended up being RM 150 for each season (inclusive of shipping etc). I used Atlanticdvd.com.au and it was pretty reasonable - if you have someone in Aus, maybe you can ask them to pick it up for you.
