Hi guys, I just watched the season finale... episode 23 of HEROES season 1. Was very surprised that no ONE has started a thread yet about this captivating series Its a tale of Destiny, Future & Fate using a 'multiple protagonist' formual that moves & intertiwnes to perfection. The creator, Tim Kring, takes us into the 'what if' world with storyline brilliance. Characters are deep & continue to unravel from episode to episode played by a brilliant cast of main characters & veteran supporting characters (but they r some main actors that just can't be convincing). Find out who is general manager of Primatech Paper.. & who plays Mr. Linderman.... Who plays Mr. Nakamura senior? Anyways... just wanted to start this thread, in at least a tribute to a great series. Any HEROES fans out there? "SAVE THE CHEERLEADER, SAVE THE WORLD" BELIEVE.... your Destiny

Heroes is a fantastic show. 'Company Man' is one of the best hour on TV hour, beating out most of the episodes in Battlestar Galactica even.
Linderman, of course, used to be the iconic sci-fi character Alex, the anarchist in Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange. Lots of other famous genre actors show up like Christopher Eccleston (Claude) used to be the Ninth Doctor. Julia Roberts brother Eric (Thompson) used to be one of The Master's body in Doctor Who - might be the Seventh or Eighth doctor I don't remember, Stan Lee also shows up unexpectedly as a bus driver and everyone knows who Kaito Nakamura is.
Plus I like the fact that Jessica shot the two FBI agents named Alonso and Quesada. Someone hates Marvel I think.
However I do think that the finale could have been much better. Should have been a more spectacular supers battle at Kirby Plaza (named after Jack Kirby, Stan Lee's partner in crime?). Matt Parkman, the unluckiest dude ever, was out of the fight before he even starts.
And Peter. Oi. I'll let someone else rant about how Nathan did not have to do what he did to save New York City only if someone just shot his brother so he could get knocked out and power down.
They changed the tune of the series in mid-season and it shows. Originally almost everyone dies and the second season starts with totally new characters. But I guess Tim had to yield to character popularity. Can't argue with him, Mr. Bennet is one of the best characters there.
I'd hate to see him die.

I love this show. Lost has lost its enigma, Galactica has turned into another space opera, and 24 has lost its steam (and believability), so currently, Heroes is the best show on TV, IMHO. I saw the finale earlier this week and was slightly disappointed. I was expecting a massive Peter - Sylar showdown at Kirby plaza rivalling the Big Burly fight in the Matrix Revolutions, with both of them unleashing each and every power they have accumulated throughout the season and explosions and shattered glass happening all around them. But alas, they chosed the easy way out (thanks, Hiro!). But still, I wouldn't say good bye to the Petrelli boys yet. Something tells me they live to fight another day. The show just wouldn't be fun without them. And Sylar? Did he crawl away, or did something or someone drag his body down the sewer? That ultimate bad guy Molly described maybe? Or the cockroach we've been seeing creeping up here and there.
And was it me or did Kensei (or his eyes) look like the elderly Nakamura, aka Mr. Sulu? One thing's for sure, I can' wait for the next season to come. In the meantime, I look forward to the "Origins" mini-series they have in the pipeline.

Yea guys, this series is amazing... I feel its doing all the little little things that made all of us pick up comic books when we were younger. I think there's a lot of things left hanging so that they can tied it up later & a part of those are tribute-trinkets to the comic innovators & creators. Did u guys spot Stan Lee's little 3 second cameo?? That was nice... its one thing to appear in a comic-to-movie show which u created (i.e. spiderman, daredevil) but its another to be featured in someone elses OH, also I hope there's more tribute to other classics like Star Trek.... Mr. Takei, the mention of Sulu & the Vulcan hand sign hhehe cute The cockroaches are definitely something in the build up. Loose ends like Micah recognising Ando when they haven't met. the 6months Hiro spent w Charlie. All room for expansion. The brilliance in story writing is really amazing. A much better job than what George Lucas did with star wars ooooo (could be a sensitive issue) hehehe just a teaser I was watching some interviews & they showed the episode where future Hiro meets Peter in the train & future Hiro actually says... Peter Petrelli? I didn't recognise u without the scar.... & then like some 18 episodes later... we all go OOooooo... thats what he meant Looking forward to Origins too Season.... oh I mean Volume 2 resumes in America 25th Sept 2007. Rumoured that the current story line will last half way thru Volume 2 & then carry on w the original plan Glad u guys like it too

Loose ends like Micah recognising Ando when they haven't met. Micah either recognize Ando from when he entered Nikki's house in search of his internet stripper, then they met again during the highway accident.

Better put *SPOILERS* in the title as not everyone has watched until the end of Season 1 yet.
I'm watching on Astro and the last episode I caught was E16. Currently downloading E17 as I'm away from home and don't have access to Astro.

yea man... I din want to lepas any spoilers.... since it kills all the excitement... But just download POL when the series hits 15 or something... the one where Claire meets 'flame girl' in the trailer park... the series takes the hype to another level & never looks back till finale.
