big debate about it here in the US Senate and House some time ago. don't know where they stand since i really don't care for US politicians. or politics for that matter. take SW for example if you're confused.

But I care about the politics within Star Wars and it makes more sense than it does the real world counterpart I have no love for real world politics whatsoever...

I personally would expect cloning (of humans) will be an inevitable reality in future, it's just a matter of time (could be eg. 10, 20, 50 years...) and putting the right rules, infrastructure, legalities etc. in place to make it workable (ie.minimise negative impacts/side effects to human, social environment etc.). So lots of work for scientists, moral/social experts to look into all possible scenarios and aspects in terms of human rights, ethical, social and moral acceptance, what can be done and what shouldn't be done, will they be treated with same human rights etc. as naturally born humans or different, when can a human be cloned (for what purpose/s, like if someone is going to die/died, you want him/her to be cloned?)...it opens up a huge universe of questions that need to be addressed as much and far as possible. But I probably won't expect to see it in my lifetime, probably next generation could be a reality.... I hope I don't open a can of worm on this...just my 2 cents

IMHO, the act of cloning of humans is just us puny humans trying to play God. And if history is of any indication, it will not go down well. Technology can only take us so far...but some things I believe we should leave it to God(to those who believe...) and nature. My 2 cents...

both good points, but i'd have to side with revan. cloning, to whatever effect, has its downsides. let the politicians and scientists leave nature alone and let those who believe in God let him do what he wishes.
