Hi mansugi aka Azman, welcome! I'm usually one of the first on the scene to welcome new members but my PC was down for the last few days, and is still in the shop. I don't have PC at work so I'm now posting this in a cybrcafe.
Actually I already replied to a thread you started over at the 'seeking' section before I rea your intro thread...I'm the guy The SithOverlord mention who's putting together the Malaysian Rebel Legion Outpost. And I'm also looking for ways to make my own R2, although I don't think I can afford the estimated US$40,000 required to make one (I got this figure from a guy from the R2 builder's club after I sent an email to enquire).
Also would like to take this opportunity to welcome obirand aka Randy. Do start your own intro thread Randy and show us your collection, especially your props and your R2 unit.
It is great to have SW enthusiasts with such expertise like you guys in MySciFiFan. Our members and admin have a lot of enthusiasm, drive and commitment, but we lack technical support, and Malaysia is not a place to get Sci-Fi related things done easily. I've been trying to find someone to CNC a Luke ROTJ Stunt saber for me for over a year, without result...
Do go throiugh every thread in the forum and help us fill in the gaps where it counts, and hopefully we'll have a decent 501st Garrison and Rebel Legion Outpost by year's end!

Thanks for pointing out this site, Azman. Just signed up. Hi everyone, I'm the solo R2 builder Azman mentioned. Like him, I'm also a member of the R2 Builders Club. Although no where near Azman's level of expertise yet, I've already begun sourcing my R2 parts in earnest, and expect to complete construction by end 2006 but hopefully ASAP. Yes, that's a long time but parts are custom made to order. Other than building R2, I also collect SW items...mostly prop replicas - don't really collect the toys due to space constraint. I'm also interested in becoming a member of the 501st as a stormtrooper...except I do not own a suit of armor yet. Hello and welcome aboard to Malaysia's OWN Science Fiction and Community Forums, MySciFiFan in short. ;D
As Plo Strax-Avix has suggested inwhich I'm inviting you now, please go ahead and start your own thread at MySciFiFan's Introduction Section
Well, you are more than welcome to become a member of the 501st Legion, which also caters to 17 other categories of Imperials and Denizens of the Empire that is NOT wearing a Stormtrooper Armor. Perhaps you can share with us MORE in your very OWN Introductory thread WHAT are the STAR WARS Costumes you have in hand right now.

Haven't been visiting for quite awhile. Real life gets in the way Anyway just need to show my latest project that is on the market right now. Since my daughter wanted to be an XWing pilot for Halloween, I managed to make a couple of molds and pulled some boxes. These are made out of .09 black shinny ABS. Here a few pics. Please PM or email me if anybody interested. I do have adult and kid versions. There you go Rebel Scums ;D ;D ;D Enjoy.

Truly fantastic work! Too bad I never wanted to be an X-Wing pilot...
Do you make Sandtrooper backpacks or Vader's chestbox?
