Although I do like Twei'lek, but I prefer to be in my own skin color, and unless if I can successfully make a lekku will only consider it. Its my last option. For now I will focus on Jedi costume. Well Jaden, have you ever considered to be a flesh skinned Twikek Jedi wearing the standard Jedi Robes but with twin lekkus hanging down from your head. You don't even need to feel the BLUES like Aayla Secura does, but you need to only concern yourself with the Execution of ORDER 66! Twilek seem to come in multiple skin tones...

You don't even need to feel the BLUES like Aayla Secura does, but you need to only concern yourself with the Execution of ORDER 66! Well, I wouldn't worry much about this, because not all Jedi agree to become generals commanding clone troopers in battle. When the whole troop turn against 1 Jedi, Its a death trap, any Jedi will be fatally outnumbered. Perhaps I can choose a grey Jedi character , those that choose to remain Jedi but refused to take sides, there are plenty of them. So I probably will be safe and after order 66, will be in hiding. If I'm unlucky and captured, will probably be forced to turn into Dark side and join Darth Vader Right hand, then after the tides have turn will revert back to Jedi. ;D Following the example of people like Mara Jade, Quinlan Vos, Aayla secura and many more who have turn to the dark side but at the end they came back to the light . Not necesarily a Twei'lek character, I can be a human to start with.

Hey Jaden, I was trying to do a obi wan costume but couldn't get the accurate shades of colour. I am keeping my hair long now so I tied it up like Qui Gon.... & the Sith Overload has mentioned a resemble Cin Drallig.... But now I am going to move more into a Qui Gon Jinn look & detail to wish me luck & all the Force. I'd say u should try to make one if u hv the time, I made a jedi robe in 3 days... with a cost less than RM90 I like that the prequels really unveil the female Jedis... with some cool attitude... like Aayala, Barris Ofee, Shaak Ti, Luminara... they got some cool looks... the guy jedis are quite similar Look forward to meet u.... at one time i used the nick name Kyle Katarn.. as being a fan od the 1st Dark FOrces game When you go to Movie carnival, do you go dressed up in your costume or do they have changing rooms for you to change there? You made your costume in 3 days, that's fast and cheap. I wish I have the time, hope to make something more real and better quality, but maybe I will tailor make or buy at a lower cost preferrably. I have so many things in mind, all the SW characters plus the game characters, maybe I'll just work on a simple Jedi character first. Maybe you coulld dye your hair for a closer look or wear a wig. ;DGood luck.

In the case of your FIRST STAR WARS costume, it is better to work on a costume that is manageable, within your means in terms of time, resources, materials and money. This is the most practical of all approach instead of spending time coming up with a dream list of STAR WARS costumes and getting NOTHING done at the end of the day.
In most cases, most of the MySciFiFan members that I personally know started off with a Jedi Knight costume, mainly the type of costumes worn by the Jedis / padawans in Episodes I to III. Once you have successfully made your STAR WARS costumes then will you have the satisfaction, before you move on to your next costume or upgrade your existing costume. You can check out this THREAD to see how Plo Strax-Avix and fishyahoo started out with the very first version of their Jedi Knight costume back in March 2005.
As for me, I started out with a practical costume of Darth Sidious, which is OK by 2000 standards but NEED serious modification/upgrading by today's standards. Since there was a pressing need, I also worked concurrently on my Emperor's Royal Guard costume, which I have since done some upgrading in 2004-2005. I will be upgrading my Force Pike this year based on some of the tips provided by Kalkamel.
In the later part of 2005, I ventured into making my TUSKEN RAIDER costume , which incidentally is the FIRST one to be ever made in Malaysia and South East Asia. In this year I will be embarking on my 4th STAR WARS character costume which I will post the pics when my project is completed.
So there you go, start with a workable costume in your case a simple Jedi character, before you progressively move on to other characters. It is advisable to steer clear of armored characters unless you have DEEP Pockets to procure the high end fan made ABS Plastic armor kits.

That would be our 1st priority my dear, no need to worry. A changing room is a must for any of our cosplay. If not provided to change, we will create one using props that we have. In worst case scenario, baby changing room also can be used. (hehehe!)

And those who are physically challenged can always use the spacious, specially dedicated toilet as a changing room, as shown below :

Hi, Thanks for your advice and the pic for plo & fish, I've seen the thread some time ago. I agree its the most practical thing to do. Have been thinking & calculating a lot, will definitely start with Jedi costume, but can choose material only near year end. So, Most probably will start with Jedi belt first. It cost a lot to buy ready made movie accurate Jedi belt(US100)+pouch(US150)(up to RM1000++), am considering buying online raw material and do myself(cost around RM400++ for Jedi belt only), not much savings, unless someone knows any local lether belt company selling either finished/ unfinished belts of suitable sizes(3/4" and 2 &1/2"), plus the buckles, studs and snaps buttons, stains finishes etc., can save a lot even if some parts can be obtained locally and some order online. Since this is only a hobby don't really want to send too much. You've done pretty well yourself
