If you want a screen accurate Jedi belt, best to buy ready made. And go for a better quality one because its a defining feature for your costume, just like your lightsaber.
Let me see if I can find a source for good and reasonably priced belt for you. A guy on another forum who make and sell Jedi belts recently liquidated all his stock; I'll find out if he has any left.

(The vader in toilet pic) Hee Hee he Haa Haa Ha, ;D ;D now I can imagine, the toilet door opens and Lord Vader, Darth Maul or Ring wraith suddenly appears, those people in the toilet will be shock and for a minute not sure what's going on. Maybe we should do that one day and install a hidden camera to video people's reactions... This must be one of the longest Intro threads so far...

I have so many things in mind, all the SW characters plus the game characters, maybe I'll just work on a simple Jedi character first. Don't worry, mine is a LOT worse and I'm already a Costumer who semi-make my own costumes or parts ( the gowns, coats etc goes to the tailor). Sad thing is, for the ones in my Wishlist of Costumes/Armor, they are the ones I already have some of the materials at hand so cannot escape. About the Jedi Belt and Pouches, the other cheaper alternative is the seller from Singapore over at eBay stores.ebay.com/Pan-In-The-Box_Star-Wars-Costume_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ14QQftidZ2QQtZkmThe belt is okay tho' only 1/8" shun the original width and everything is sew down. The Pouches tho' are not adviceable to fully functionable as made from some kind of "Compressed" Foam. For the price I gotten them and my stout size plus my Jedi Garb gonna be a minor costume for me, it'll do the job. ( Ps: If really buying, find out its Buy-It-Now Price and then try bidding on the ones on auction. Aim for slightly less than its usual selling price)

Hi Haldir, Thanks a lot for the singapore ebay link, didn't know they have one there, they must have made big bucks selling to UK & foreign countries. They got almost everything and cheaper than foreign sellers. Its reasonably priced and not bad, but I think their belt width looks slightly thinner and its painted rather than stained, and I don't like the pouch, but maybe I'll consider the food capsule later.

maybe I'll consider the food capsule later. You can make screen accurate and inexpensive food capsule by looking for the correct pen caps on the net. I made my own food capsules that way:
I made the buckle myself as well.

Thanks Plo & sith overlord,
I think it would be too much hassle for me to get belt locally, because then I still need to get the buckle as the size of the thinner belt need to fit the buckle and I don't think there are any local shop that sells the holding pins, if I buy seperately it will cost me too much. On the other hand the ebay singapore seller is selling so cheap, worth considering also. I am thinking of just buying the belt and assessories first, am getting my pay pal account ready, I wonder if our local fun costume shop has got any leather material for tabards/ boot cover, going to ask them soon. ;D

Will be lucky if the leather is by chance available (extra from other costume work). Generally we need to find own materials/cloth to provide costume shops / tailors to work on. I need to look for a wide leather belt too...

Hi thanks, they told me they don't have any leather material but they ask told me to get it from the textile shop in carefour. it looks like leather but its not really a leather I think its like the type that people use it for sofa cover,I bought some for tabard. hopefuly it will look okay. I am sure there is some local leather shop that sells raw or custom make belts, you can check out central market maybe they have, althought I don't have time to go there yet, and not sure whether they have any suitable accessories for jedi belt.

Hi all, So far I have made a tabard from the fun costume shop, I gave them the measurement, its okay looks fine and takes only about 20 minutes. Cost me about RM20. The next thing I'm planning to do would be the boot cover. As I don't have any digital camera, it will be a waste to take pic one by one so I won't post any picture now untill I have completed the whole costume.
