Did anyone know whether the new Star Trek XI movie is already out? (I mean the original one, not the <Uncle Ho> version) When I was onboard SIA flight a few days ago, it was showing the latest STAR TREK movie in one of the in-flight movie channel !!! I m surprised that SIA managed to get such new movie so fast for its in-flight entertainment, even before the official DVD is released in Nov 2009.

Unfortunately, no news yet. I am very surprised that even Uncle Ho does not have it. The "normal" copies existed but for a very brief time. So, this is one of those films where it is tightly controlled just like when one of the Triad Movies came out years ago, I forgot the name.
Nevertheless, I hope the DVD would come out soon, and hopefully, with a lof of "specials" inside the disk. Unless then want to push it to Blu-Ray.

If i'm not mistaken, the ori will come out in middle nov; depending on various locations. There is both a DVD and BR version. So take your pick. So the Uncle Ho's should be out maybe next month/october?

English / Thai language, English / Thai / Chinese / Malay / Korea subtitles. (S$36.90) Now I finally know the official Chinese name for the word "STAR TREK" ... haha ;D

The translation between China (the one in my DVD) is slightly diff from Taiwan, which is also diff from HK. I think China translation is more appropriate for the word "Trek".
The last time S'pore TV shows Star Trek, the movie title was translated in Chinese as: Integalactic Battles ... alamak, Star Trek sounds like Star Wars ... haha
