Has anyone heard of the upcoming movie The Memory of Shadows. There are rumors that the regular characters from the TV show are being pushed by the studios to be played by A-list actors... In other words, the next time you see Sheridan & Delenn, they might be played by Tom Cruise and Juila Roberts, or such.

Ops, misread at first LotR as Lord of the Rings Any big screen B5 movie will be a great addition in my books. But wonder how they can pull of so much in one movie considering the extensive background to the B5 universe to new viewers.

the fans will go blalistic. i'm not sure about myself. it would be good to see the original actors get a big break in stardom. but i suppose they are the best to play back their characters cause they know those characters well. ( and so do we ). but if some good A-list actors played, i wouldn't mind. just don't get those like "oh i don't know anything about B5 or scifi, i was just paid to star in it" kind of actors.

Personally I don't understand why studios don't use the original actor/actress for the TV series when they do a big screen adaptation. If they do then they'd have the full support of existing fans, which would be a lot more then the number of fans they'd gain by using A-list actor/actress.
I suppose it all boils down to politics....
