Anybody catch this movie? It's from manga & later anime which is so successful it was made into a movie. Not a typical Japan ghost story of female ghost with long hair & ugly nails. An intrigue investigation story! A good Halloween movie, try watch it!

I watched it - really liked it. The first part. Was pleasantly surprised at how intricate it turned out.
The second one should be out in the cinemas in a few weeks - mid February 2007.

I've watched "Death Note: The Last Name" at an early screening, it was superb. How Light genius tactic infiltrate L headquarters, it's a cat & mouse chase of a diff kind. If you like a movie that'll make you think, this would be a good supernatural thriller to enjoy. Two thumbs up.
Now, i must get the manga & anime version of it!

Hey Chakotay,
That ghoul character in Death Note is mainly CGI like Jar Jar Binks is it not? Ryuk: 'No similarity & no way I'm related to that loser' You meant Ryuk or Rem? Anyway, if you familiar with the anime, the movie character CGI is acceptable. Not like Jar-Jar who tried his best to act as human, shinigami is a shinigami in this movie, how they react to human behavior is the interesting part here.

Yep I was referring to Ryuk in the pic above. Can't call up the name shinigami (Death God in Japanese) when I posted my reply earlier.
Jar Jar Binks is LUCKY that his name is not listed in the Death Note, or is it?

Ryuk reminds me of The Joker. maybe that's why I haven't bothered to catch the movie yet...

Let me guess... u watched the DVD with a stupid translation? Go watch it on big screen, the English translation is accurate since it was done by the company not local translator.
