Err... Never read the book. Just know about 4 orphans during WW2, join forces with Aslan a lion battling The White Witch.
Richard Taylor (of LOTR) & Weta Workshop handling the production design, weapons & makeup.
Care to comments guys?

Unfortunately don't know anything about this series other than this audio book I've got for sale The Chronicles of Warina: The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis. Maybe will listen to it one day, if not sold by then.

one of my personal favourite author. CS Lewis was a close friend of JRR Tolkien. i've not read the Chronicles of Narnia, but its supposedly bears similar writing style to Tolkien's Lord of The Rings ( i could be wrong ). its a children's favourite especially in the Christian community because it supposedly has underlaying Christian elements. but then again, anyone could say the same thing about LOTR too. i have Chronicles of Narnia, but have yet to go about reading it. hopefully before the movie comes out.

i read them waaaaaay back when i was a kid. and it was kinda scary (hey, back then, i was an inky-fingered 10 year old!)...
the paralism to christianity is most obvious in the last book... it's gonna be interesting how they're gonna potray those animals and a talking lion right at the end!
to me, Voyage of the Dawn Trader is the best of the lot...

There is a clip about the props design for the movie somewhere (I think it's from the Apple Trailers). Go watch it. The design is interesting enough and very realistic (as good as LOTR) but not sure about the story though. Hope it's good.

I think I'm gonna give the books a try since I had never read them. Will see if the Costuming bug will bite but I doubt it'll be as bad as LOTR, SW, HP & The Matrix.

There are two movie clips in www.narnia.com - one on Richard Taylor of Weta and the other on Andrew Adamson. Just click on "Go behind the scenes..." I don't think the apple link thepast posted works anymore. There is one Apple link I do know of but I am too lazy to find it and sides, it is the same one as Richard Taylor's. Given I have read like only 3 chapters of the first book of Narnia... it never struck me the style of writing was like particularly Tolkienesque. Well, not in the LotR grand epic scale and incredible details - we do have to remember that NoC is meant for children after all (though adults also delight in it). The closer approximation would probably be the Hobbit. I am very keen to see it... a fantasy freak is me. Yay! The costuming bug has almost nibbled me.... *hands itchy* We'll see if we can rustle more excitement the closer we get to December.

I've read the Chronicles of Narnia and I do not like the ending. I don't know if they'll go that far into the film but it's a bit anticlimactic for me. To me, it's a lot about childhood imagination and innocence and optimism and how one should not lose it because that will bring us to the anticlimactic ending!
