It has a good story which is much better than the previous films. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the inevitable sequel

Have you wondered how they pulled together resources to make the batcave and the batsuit? Well wonder no more... Managed to catch it over the weekend. Must say its a lot slower in the beginning then I'm used to for a batman flick...but then again there's a lot to put in place and to explain...
SPOILER BEGINS
The training in the high mountains (Tibet?) is my favourite part, as it's always been my dream to be inducted into a place like that to get trained..although at my age now I'd probably die of exhaustion before I get to learn anything... ;D
But it still doesn't explain how he managed to turn that dark and stinking cave into the Batcave seen in the other movies, or the comics...I mean its one thing to give the cave some structure by 'reinforcing the foundation', but to install all those equipment and build a road for the Batmobil? It's not something Bruce, Alfred and Lucius could pull off by themselves....Maybe it'll be explained in the sequel...
SPOILER ENDS

duel scenes left more to be desired but the film is really indepth. Agreed. The ending battle was just a blur of people hitting each other. It should have a more focused cinematography to show off Batman's hand-to-hand combat ability, which should be amazing. Maybe its because Christian Bale is not an established action star and do not have the kind of martial arts training needed to pull it off?

let's talk Batman! i'm a little behind, but just came back from watching it (alone). well worth my time and anti-social antics. I loved it. Nolan proves again that he doesn't disappoint. Bale is great as both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Hate the Tumbler if people must, but it's more awesome than the past Batmobiles. Cain as Alfred is warm as well as funny. I thought they couldn't pull of Scarecrow, but they managed. And yes, realism and believable is what makes the movie enjoyable. Burton did well for the first two, Schumacher killed it off, but Nolan resurrected it and if he wants to continue making more, I say give it to him! probably the best Batman movie ever. side note: darqueside, i finally realised my mistake for confusing Joel Silver with Joel Schumacher. one I like, the other i hate. you know which.

Maybe its because Christian Bale is not an established action star and do not have the kind of martial arts training needed to pull it off? Well, I can't say that he's an established action star but if anyone who've seen him in Equilibrium, the fight sequences in that movie was pretty cool. Maybe for this Batman movie, they didn't have a good fight choreographer or its just because the fight cinematography wasn't that good. Ah..but I digress...after watching it last Sunday, I was happy with how the movie turned out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel. ;D

That was an awesome movie, maybe not wholly original in idea, but the execution was brilliant, imho!! It never made it to our screens here, iirc..I myself caught the movie on pasar malam vcd, with lousy pictures & terrible sound.. hunted for the dvd when it came out.. enjoyed the movie again it all its glory.. still think that that movie had better gun-fu scenes than the matrix, but that's just my personal opinion Btw, have you seen the Machinist? He did that one before Batman, from what I remember of the trailer, it looked incredibly bleak..Christian Bale really lost weight for that movie, didn't he?? Maybe I'll get around to watching it someday..till then, bring on Batman Begins 2!! ;D (Who would you cast as the Joker.....??)[/color]
