Hey guys, my name is Cassiel, which according to biblical apocrypha means the angel of solitudes and tears. Not my real name of couse, I'd probably have somewhat strange parents if they named me that. I'm 34, almost 35 years old. I'm an interior designer by profession, an architect by training. I live in the Damansara area, around Tropicana.
My interests include religious mythology - angels and demons and such. I loved The Prophecy, The Omen, Constantine, Stigmata, etc. I've been working on a screenplay for an epic movie called the Apocalyptica (not to be confused with Gibson's Apocalyptico) for near to 12 years now - about the end of the world and Lucifer's bid to retake Heaven.
I use to collect a lot of comics - from XMen 193 onwards until it got too confusing. I use to read most of Marvel, DC and Image titles. Big fan of the Sandman and Neil Gaiman. Loved Preacher, Constantine. Miller's Sin City until that crappy love story b#ll#cks, Kingdom Come, Moore's Watchmen, Fables, Dark Knight, Batman Year 1, etc. I could go on. But I wont. For now.
I read a variety of stuff when i was young - Dragonlance Chronicles, RA Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urden stuff, fairy tales from Hans Christian Andersen, Enid Blyton, Brothers Grimm, all Gaiman stuff, Douglas Adams, Michael Moore, Edgar Allen Poe, Melville's Moby dick, Shakespeare, Campbell's Hero of a 1000 Faces, Jung, Dante's Divine Comedy, bit of Keruoac and Bukowski, etc.
I watch a lot of movies. i mean, a lot. It would be pointless to try and cover this part; suffice to say - some of my favorite movies are The Rings trilogy, Star Wars, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Braveheart, American History X, Shawshank Redemption, Indiana Jones, Leaving Las Vegas, Brotherhood of the Wolf, X-Men (yes, even the Brett Ratner one), Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction, Blade and almost all vampire movies. Love horror. And Hayao Miyazaki.
I watch a lot of TV also. From before, I have loved Wiseguys, Voyagers, Quantum Leap, Buffy & Angel, Carnivale, X-Files until the last 2 seasons. Am now watching Lost (I am a BIG fan), Heroes (this is a GREAT new series) and Prison Break.
There. that about covers it. Actually there's plenty more but I'm tired of writing and you must be tired of reading. Cheers. Seeya around.
