kakitidur (or shall it be deja from RebelScum forums? ) Get the SW EpII Sneak preview R3-T7 ONLY if you're building an Astromech droid army or a diorama builder. As you're aware the scene with this R3 unit was deleted from the Final Cut of SW Ep II AOTC. It was located on the kakilima right outside Dex's Diner.

I am intrigued with R3-T7 translucent dome.
R4-G9 and R3-T7 look to be the best of the bunch, IMO.

Yes, according to SW Tales, that red droid that blew up when Owen bought him was strong in the force. It committed droid suicide to enable R2D2 to complete his mission. It was a great story.
The stories in SW Tales aren't 'cannon' which is why it is, IMO, the best SW comic ever. It doesn't take itself seriously. Plus, it has great stories and great art.
SW Tales are currently available in Tpb format in five volumes. Get 'em all.
Boy, is this post out of topic or what? ;D ;D ;D

Boy, is this post out of topic or what? ;D ;D ;D wow..i have always wondered the possiblity of a droid jedi...and now i have found one. ;D how come the not says that the droid is long forgotten jedi named skippy? Any story behind that (briefly)? plus, maybe the thread should be moved... that depends on our group of elites to decide.

wow..i have always wondered the possiblity of a droid jedi...and now i have found one. ;D how come the not says that the droid is long forgotten jedi named skippy? Any story behind that (briefly)? plus, maybe the thread should be moved... that depends on our group of elites to decide. Briefly, the story is a light-hearted one with a touching ending. It begins with Obi-Wan searching for a second sentient on Tatooine who is a strong in the force (but not necessarily a jedi). It never occured to him that he should look for a droid.
I like the the writing because it has some in-jokes only a hardcore SW fan would notice. The one I remember is when Skippy the droid says it's impossible for a planet to orbit two suns and still support life but he decides not to waste time thinking about that. ;D There are a few more in-jokes but I'm at work now and I dont have the book with me right now.
Skippy works as a waiter when he realised he could move objects without touching them. He decides to run away to learn more about his new skills when he was 'rescued' by Jawas in desert.
In the Sandcrawler, Skippy meets R2D2 who tells him about his secret mission. When Owen Lars buys him instead of R2D2, Skippy decides to kill himself reasoning that it is the will of the Force. That enables R2D2 to rejoin 3PO and the rest is history.
As for your question, no one knows Skippy is a Jedi because he's not. He discovered he was strong in the Force and then he died before any training began.

It don't make sense for a droid to be strong in the force because droids can't have midiclorines flowing through their veins, because they don't have veins, unless you count their lube & hydraulic tubes as veins...
I know, I know, its not supposed to be serious writing...just stating the obvious... ;D
