Posted by TK 8829, the newly appointed Executive Officer of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST over at the 501st HQ forums (restricted to 501st Legion members only) yesterday :
On Sunday 11 November, 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST was invited to join in the HSBC Charity Grand Prix. Both Brunei based troops, TD4910 and TK8829, participated in the event which drew huge crowds.
A variety of fun games and novelty races were also held during the day which included Waiter Race, Krazy Kart Race, Iron Executive Race and Tower Building Human Fusball and lucky draws. There were also bouncers and mini games for children.
The event ended with the announcement of the charity fund donation of $10,000 each to organisations Pulaie Welfare Complex, Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam and SMARTER Brunei.
The Chief Operating Officer of HSBC Brunei, Matthew Martin, thanked 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST for taking part in the days event. He said he's very impressed with the 501st website and expressed his admiration for the charity work done by the 501st.
