Rubies Helmet suck regardless of their so-called "version".
Very risky in a Tropical Country like ours.

Also you have got a PM from me.

Hello. I see a fellow mandalorian who needs help! I am new here, and thnks for the publicity sith overlord. Well, first off, I must say my Jango aint the finest. Its my First costume and I am proud if it, Always waiting for an upgrade here and there. Not worn mine about. But will make its debut on the 6th Nov, to promote the exhibition. anyways, I think u need a load of help. I can point u the right way for the following items: 1. Aluminium made armor 2. Flak Vest (I can tailor a set for u, costs about $100SGD, due to time constraint, no commision earned) 3. Boots (very close to the correct kenneth cole boots, but I have to check on it frm my US counterparts) Just PM Me for details on the above 3... Helmet. Mine's a Don Post 1997, bought way back in 2002. Lucky for me, my DP97 is in better shape then most I have seen or heard. Did not do any reshaping. Will look out for u in singapore....but i dare say its a rare gem, and will set u back easily at $120 SGDs... Blasters. Use a Rubies pair($35USD, inc. shipping). It sure beats the MR ones (at about $700 USD). Just some easy mods, and vola! Top is the original Toy: Armor. I got templates which I could send u. Just up or down the size to ur....size M'sian and Singpore does not have Sintra. But, aluminium sheets (7mm thick ones) are good for cutting with a pair of sheares (big scissors?). Maellable and therefore easily bent, its still a good bet, as the finishing looks good.

Belt and pouches and holsters. The rope belt, is actually some mounteering rope, shipped from overseas. Its cheaper then using leather braids. Just some brown paint will do the trick. Pouches and holsters are made by a local leather smith. His porducts are good. but costly. So u might have to scout fro ur own. Gauntlets. These are hard to make. So i spent alot of a vac-formed set. I want a resin one, but it have to do for now. Cant help u much, but do a search on ebay. Theres a set going for 100 usd. Gloves. I was lucky, as a US counterpart had an extra pair! its hard to find coz its seasonal winter wear. But mines a 'Fownes' brand. Try ur luck on riding gloves, there are close too Aluminium cut outs sanded down Flack Vest. I ot these tailored locally. I could help u get them if u want bu its gonna cost. Not complete and accurate (esp the cod piece), But i love it! I am also working on my jet pack, Arena version, as its my fav! its almost done. This is a pic some time back when it was like less then half done: I got templates for these too. I am not showing these for show off. But its a form of encouragement. I never expected to embark on the costume. I just bought the helmet to mod for fun. But i think i liked the outfit too much!!! I wont comment if u can or not finsh it before dec 16. But I dare say theres a high chance (if u spend the money on the right places and spend more time on it). I cant wait for another Jango or mandalorian to join the imperial ranks. :-/GOOD LUCK!

Welcome, MandalorianBleahhh. ;D Oh my... you guys have aluminium sheet that thick in Singapore? *drools* Cor... can you imagine what I can do with a sheet that thick? Do you happen to know how much are they retailing for that per sheet? Most of what I do see over here are around 1mm and flimsy as hell. Specialised aluminium products manufacturers told me that they don't sell small quantity of the thicker gauge ones. Still shopping around and asking. So, right now I have to endure aluminium backed up with PVC.

You could've just asked me Rhyden, I can get 6mm, 7mm and 8mm sheet aluminum quite easily here, and they'll cut the exact measurement you need. They sell by weight though...let me know how much you need and I'll get a quote for you. I can only get them to you in December though, unless someone goes to KL before that and is willing to take it along...

Then do you have a BETTER manufacturer to recommend for the JANGO FETT Helmet, and at affordable price? Read my post again: DON POSTFortunately, Boba Fett Don Post '97 helmets are still relatively can get. At one one, I see nothing but DP '97 Boba Fett Helmet at Action City here for SGD80 tho' now prices has risen to over SGD100 and only selected shop got it somewhere at the back of their shop. You spoke of eBay and thus eBay or Y!Auction will have the helmets here and there tho' the quantity pale against those terrible Rubies ones. Yes, more work but for a good costume/prop maker, most helmets have to be repainted to not only make the color more accurate to the original but to strengthen and protect the helmet. That is why most of the time, Fan created ones comes unpainted as each person to his or her own prefered color. Yo, Jacen! Welcome to the group! And is that Aluminium Sheet the ones from Art Friend/SAGA City since it can be cut with Scissors? Didn't known it's 7mm since that is the only type they have while SAGA City other metal piece is some sort of Steel or something ( so heavy!) Heehee, that picture of your Jetpack is funny. Reminded us again what from our House we can use to make it and reminded me of that Kenneth ( the FFSG Boba back in 2002) one which really scream " RECYCLE". Oh! About the Jetpack, I remember LisaFett saying about using Styrofoam(??) and Pepsi cans and a few other stuffs to make her "Light" Boba Jetpack which is also worn by Jango ( tho' cleaner of course). But since hers and Azeem website seems to be gone best bet other than poking MandalorianBleahhh for the recipe and templates is to drop by TheDentedHelmet Website and Forum.
