Who says all the Sandtroopers in the 501st Legion must be Guys, Male, Lelaki ? NOT true!! There are, but a few ladies in their ranks and in the prestigious ranks of the DEPLOYED (SAND)TROOPERS OF THE MEPD
Introducing my fellow 501st Legion member from the UK Garrison, MEPD Deployed Imperial Sandtrooper : TD-2441
underneath the weathered Screen Accurate Helmet is Rachel Smith, Female Sandtrooper in the service of the Galactic Empire :
Be sure to visit to Rachel's website at www.tk2441.co.uk to see how much FUN she have as a 501st female trooper in the UK Garrison!
MORE choice pictures of Rachel in her screen accurate and "beautifully" weathered Sandtrooper armor in my next post after this. ;D

UPDATED : Choice pictures of TD-2441 in her screen accurate and "beautifully" weathered Sandtrooper armor and Accessories.
An excellent full lenght Front View of TD-2441 in full Sandtrooper Desert Gear and armed with the deadly T-21 Heavy Blaster. Those Rebel Scums won't stand a chance against this Enforcer of the Emperor's will in Mos Eisley, (*takes a look at the garden background*).....well not exactly at Mos Eisley, Naboo perhaps? ;D
"TALK to the Barrel, YOU Rebel Scum!!"
A good Portrait shot of TD-2441 providing a Close Up look of the weathering on her screen accurate Sandtrooper Helmet, Chest Armor, detailed MP-40 black leather pouch and the Black Pauldron of an Enlisted (Private) rank Sandtrooper. (The ONLY thing that is NON canon here are the small Imperial Cog and Aurebesh fonts on TD-2441's Left shoulder Armor! )
Another full lenght Front View of TD-2441 in full MEPD-Sandtrooper Desert Gear, WITHOUT her T-21. LOOK OUT for Rebel snipers as you make a good standing target, at least arm yourself with a BlasTech E-11!!
What makes me DROOL when looking at this picture - is TD-2441's 100% SCRATCH BUILT and Weathered Sandtrooper Backpack that Rachel had documented well in the FIELD BACKPACK BUILD Section of her website. Kudos to you TD-2441!
TD-2441's Backpack is a pretty Close MATCH to the Configuration and Arrangement of Accessories on the Backpack worn by this Sandtrooper in the Mos Eisley Droid Hunt scene from STAR WARS : A NEW HOPE :
Note : I've had to BRIGHTEN UP this image a few times in order to get the BEST view of the details of the accessories on this particular Sandtrooper's Backpack.
Right Side View of TD-2441's Sandtrooper Backpack
See how CLOSELY this resembles the Backpack worn by Anthony Forrest, the actor who PLAYED the infamous "Move Along, Move Along..." Sandtrooper Officer from the Mos Eisley Check Point Scene :
Left Side View of TD-2441's Sandtrooper Backpack
and finally ANOTHER comparison shot from the Mos Eisley Droid Hunt scene from STAR WARS : A NEW HOPE :
that shows the time and efforts invested by TD-2441 to Scratch Build her Sandtrooper Backpack to be as CLOSE as possible to the screen used prop. Again this HD Screen Cap had been BRIGHTENED UP a few times, as the Original image was quite dark, in order to get the BEST possible view of the details of the accessories on this Sandtrooper's Backpack.

For me, i did come by her site when i decided to weather my armour a few month back. One of the nices weather job i've seen. But i guess, in my view, any future sandtrooper plans to do a weathering job... just do it. It's can never be 'Bad'..its 'personalized'!!

It's can never be 'Bad'..its 'personalized'!! In my experience there is NO such thing as 'Bad'! I'm looking forward to apply the weathering based on the High Resolution Sandtrooper screen caps from STAR WARS : A NEW HOPE, Classic Edition. Going CANON is my Goal, but I will definitely ADD my 'personalized' touch on the weathering on my Armor. ;D

Hi Peter - wow I'm rather stoked to see this thread, thank you very much I'm still the only female TD in the UK Garrison and I am very proud of my Sandy and it's accuracy - my ex-boyfriend built the T21 from a resin midsection, wood stock and PVC barrel - he also weathered the armour for me, under my eagle eye and "that bit isn't quite right do it again!!!" instruction I even got him to re-weather the T21 barrel as it didn't look *quite* right. I figure the money that these costumes cost, you may as well go for the highest accuracy possible otherwise what's the point?? The one glaring error is the use of an ALICE pack frame on the field pack - I just couldn't find a boy scout frame and time was running out before Celebration Europe, which I wanted to be ready for. The Imperial cog and decal on my shoulder bell is a requirement of the UK Garrison to denote a "cleared" costume by our GML. I have a Biker Scout WIP but that won't be done for a while, and I'm working on a Ghostbuster which will hopefully be done by April. ;D ;D After that I really must start SAVING my money and stop thinking of my next costume (Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman? Hmmmm........) Thanks again for this thread!! Rache

Rache TD-2441 thanks for sharing the information on your T-21 and the components that were used into building it. I can see the weathering job done on it to give the authentic "used" rather than unused look.
Here is another picture of you holding your T-21 that was not used in your earlier post :
and not forgetting to mention your Glamorous "Guns & Gown" picture :
Nice details, however I'm not qualified, as yet , to comment on the percentage of its screen accuracy and resemblance to this screen used prop from STAR WARS : A NEW HOPE :
Also, FYI my fellow 501st Outpost member TD-4910 (registered in MySciFiFan forums under Gungrave 390) is also armed with a T-21, as seen in his last BSRC Family Day trooping event picture :

My Proton Pack still has a long way to go but I'm working on it this weekend and reinforcing the inside as it's a bit thin in places - needs chunkying up before it can be mounted on the motherboard then the ALICE frame....
