For the uninitiated, "Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam" (The Man Who Saves The World), is not a fan-made film; rather, it was produced back in 1982 for the Turkish cinema during the politically-turbulent times in Turkey where access to American-made movies were simply next to impossible.
Why Turkish Star Wars you might ask? Simply because of the excessive bootlegging of Star Wars scene in the whole film. One might say that the entire film reeks of Star Wars too
I won't give away much spoilers, but just that the Earth is being defended by the duo of heroic TIE pilots (in non-existent TIE Pilot costumes, somehow) battling and destroying waves of evil X-Wing fighters. Hmm.
Listed as one of the worst films ever made, Turkish Star Wars (so bad it's good) is simply too funny and horrendous to be explained; one must watch it to fully understand and appreciate the insanity and madness director Cetin Inanc has churned up for the rest of us.
