Hi, Would like to gather some worldly advice from the wise before I decide to embark upon this future project: I want to know if trooping around in Delta force operator uniform and gear will get myself arrested here in M'sia. Presently I already have both the top and the pants, so it's only a matter of procuring the rest. Body armor Pro-Tec hockey helmet Nomex ski goggle Kneepads: Thanks. I realize that wearing this uniform might be a unwise thing to do here. I have yet to find out what kind of LBEs (Load-Bearing Equipment) that the D-boys use. Your comments and suggestions are much appreciated!

Anyone? Can anyone give their two cents if wearing such a costume would, at most, get myself pelted with eggs due to the nature of the current unpopular war in Iraq?
This isn't meant to be Iraq, but Black Hawk Down.
Replies are much appreciated. Thanks.

This isn't meant to be Iraq, but Black Hawk Down. The general Malaysian public wouldn't know the difference between Operation Restore Hope and Operation Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom. Heck, they thought I was a cowboy when I made an appearance as Indiana Jones. In any case, I would suggest against making any public appearance in such a costume (unless if its a private closed doors costume party) due to the fact that the costume wouldn't be 100% accurate without some form of primary weapon and sidearm, and that's the one that can get you in a lot of trouble. My 2 sen.

My 2 sen. Sadly, I have to agree... On all of the above...
But it would be cool to have a Delta force operator amongst our ranks (if only the law would allow it)... Heck, I'd even like to join as one of the CTUs from "Counter-Strike" - GSG sniper, perhaps? ;D
Cowboy, huh? I was called "Power Ranger" the first time I appeared as Royal Guard! How's THAT?

Thank you all for the feedback. Looks like I'll have to keep my current coffee stain pants and BDU under wraps in the cupboard.
Well, might just wear it in the Outpost itself the next time without ever stepping out, just like what Kal said.
Tis sad, sad indeed. Won't be able to join our brothers ArmyUniform or Oberstabsfeldwebel in soldiering next time.
