I know this is a little late, seeing that the movie was released nearly 10 days ago but I want to know what do you guys think of it?
Personally, I tend to favour PC more than the first movie because of the dark and dare I say adult themes while still keeping to the magic. I felt that Andrew Adamson managed to skip the more tedious part of the book which may appeal to young children but simply make you wince when you are reading it some 10 years after you first picked up the books. Though some will draw comparison to PJ's LotR trilogy, I think PC will hold on its own. The treachery and war scenes are truly magnificent, though I can probably do without the half smoldering looks. It just feels odd... tacked on.
Tilda Swinton (White Witch) rocks again. I can't believe how she managed to carry the whole show with that little screen time. She was sublimely evil... and ultimately overshadowed Sergio Castellitto (Miraz). I really had great hopes on Castellitto and part of me was dissappointed that he did not dominate the scene as often as I had wanted/imagined. Nevertheless it is still good to see the very human frailty on him. (Realism 1: Fantasy 0). I can't really comment on the acting skills of the four 'kids'.., lets just say they gotten some tips over the last 2.5 years and could do with a few more before they are considered good. Ben Barnes surprised me though... I expected him to be just another pretty boy but as Prince Caspian, he does have some talent... in comparison to the kids. Heh.
