Time to debate this: At the end of Episode 3, will the story continuity runs smoothly to join ANH, EST & ROTJ?
Conducting an experiment with my niece, watch Ep 1,2,3 then only fed her with 4,5,6. Hope it will be successfull.
Remember in ESB, when Luke left Dagobah to save his freinds at Cloud City? Spirit Ben told Yoda, Luke is the only hope & Yoda replies 'There is another' - Does this mean Ben never knew Luke has a twin?
When Leia discribe how her mother looks like to Luke at Ewoks village in ROTJ. Did Leia grow up with Amidala that she remember her looks?
I know some might say lets wait ROTS & see, but lets try to eloborate before ROTS start.

To preserve the CONSISTENCY of the story line, Padme had better NOT DIE or be killed off in SW Episode III until AFTER baby Leia has set her eyes on her grieving mother.

To preserve the CONSISTENCY of the story line, Padme had better NOT DIE or be killed off in SW Episode III until AFTER baby Leia has set her eyes on her grieving mother. I think Lucas can play this several ways. Leia could have been brought up by foster parents, or given to be cared for by someone Padmé trusts.
Remember when Padmé was queen she had a confidante(or a few) whom she trusts and whom also doubles as her so that she'll be safe if there's an assassination attempt? Leia could have been raised by such a person if Padmé gets killed.
What I'm more interested to find out is IF Anakin ever found out he has a son, or twins, before he was mortally wounded. I want to find out is he really asked Obi Wan to pass his lightsaber to Luke or did Obi Wan made that up to hide Anakin's identity from Luke.[/color]

That's a good one SaberMaster! I've been guessing did Anakin/Vader never knew he had siblings at all in ANH or he tried to hide it from the Emperor all this long.

Correction Chakotay the word here should be OFF SPRINGS. If the subject of our discussion is Luke Skywalker, then the word " sibling" or adik-beradik is appropriate here. 'Nuf of semantics how back to topic. For those of us who has watched the REVISED Scene in TESB-SE DVD you would have noticed that Emperor Palpatine (this time with Ian McDiarmid made to look like he was wearing a silly rubber mask ) revealing to Darth Vader for the first time that Anakin Skywalker has a son. SaberMaster or fishyahoo you guys wanna confirm this?

what ? Sithoverlord does not have the DVD to watch ? and a meekly sith-wannabe like myself already has ? but it is true. although i don't know where one gets the idea that McDiarmid is wearing a mask. the silly old-woman-monkey-eye hologram from the original movie is now replaced by McDiarmid as The Emperor. which is great, because i think McDiarmid is one of the best actors in the entire SW saga!. but anyway the lines have been changed also. it does make Vader's conversation with Luke towards the end of ESB have more continuity though, IMHO. watch it to understand.

I'm in no hurry to land a set as yet, after all my dear " meekly sith-wannabe" The DVD lacked what I had been expecting - the insertion of those fabled LOST Scenes from SW, TESB and ROTJ. Anyway, thanks for chirping and confirming the essence of the TESB DVD version conversation between Darth Vader and The Emperor.

Got the DVD trilogy set but no time to seriously watch it all and investigate the special features. Only completed watching the 'making' documentary, which was in several separate sessions due to the length.
Maybe should have a Star Wars movie marathon session one day. Including the Prequels as well since there won't be Prequel marathons in the cinema like LOTR. Could watch in the order of Episode I, II, IV, V, VI and speculate on EpIII.
Who's game? Gives me incentive to watch all these DVDs I otherwise wouldn't get around to.
