Have you heard of this spinoff after Babylon 5 ended 5 seasons? I doubt Malaysia had shown this series before... only 13 episodes...

Have you heard of this spinoff after Babylon 5 ended 5 seasons? I doubt Malaysia had shown this series before... only 13 episodes... Actually, I think Crusade was shown in Malaysian TV. Shortly after B5 ended. I recall buying some VCDs of selected episodes then trying to catch those I missed out on TV. Unfortunately my TV reception then was bad and coupled with lacklustre series, didn't try too hard to catch them all. Strange I had to get those VCDs in Singapore but they were made in Malaysia (Wawasan video so something like that). Singapore had the whole Babylon 5 and Crusade series released on VCD. After a promising start, I thought the stories really floundered and pretty much led to a quick demise. Granted there was good potential. Real cool ship, the Excalibur, and some interesting characters. |

it was shown on TV3. can't recall much, cos only managed catch some episodes. at least there was some continuity in the form of a Richard Biggs guest starring as Dr Franklin, and Captain Lockheart is still captain of B5. a little Drakhs here and there, and their pesky shoulder parasites. but i wonder of the point of the series, cos we already know they will overcome the plague, based on B5 episodes like Sleeping In Light and Deconstruction of Falling Star.

The dvd boxed set is available in the States, right? Is it selling here, at the usual "alternative" sources? It's retailing for around USD45 on Amazon, way too pricey for me  Getting the boxed set wouldn't be too bad, but you'll be left with a hanging story, because I think JMS had a 5-year master plan for the crew of the Excalibur, much like he had for Babylon 5. That'll be irritating/disappointing, watching a series that held promise to be cut off prematurely (it wasn't so much because of ratings, but internal network squabbling that led JMS to pull the plug on the series, right? can anyone back me up on this??) I've got similar thoughts for getting the boxed sets of "Jeremiah" & "Serenity"..but I'll leave those rants for another thread.. ;D |

Don't think I've seen any Babylon 5 boxed sets selling here. Finding Star Trek is already a bonus!
Should be out in Australia too. Will check there, though only buy them when on sale.

Confirmed the Crusade DVD set is out in Australia, just this month I think. Will wait for it on sale. Good news is I got Babylon 5 Season 5 relatively cheap, though no luck finding Season 4 yet (sold out everywhere?).

Whoa... I didn't even go in for such a long time... and this thread... well, go a bit slow but fine.
Anyway, I only need Babylon 5 Season 5 to complete my entire Babylon 5 collection (got Seasons 1 to 4 & The Movie Collection).
Kekekeke... I apologise for not been attentive lately... was suppose to post some for Babylon 5... but got stuck with work and now a forum I hang there most of the time - DVD Malaysia
