I have yet to watch this anime. So much hype about it that makes me curious whether its worth a watch or not... is it worth it?

Heard a few things about it but nothing bad. Perhaps worth a try one day. But again with established Japanese anime series, dunno where to start  |

I've seen up to episode 18, IIRC... In terms of flow, it can be slow at certain parts. But what makes it stand out from other giant mecha shows is its theme of isolation, loneliness and madness. And from what I read, the ending is one ambiguous and depressing piece of work, which of course led fans to speculate what happened to no end.

I'm read the Manga but since it's being release here in Singapore at a rate that is slower than a tortoise, still don't know a lot about it.  Can't spare the cash for the VCDs as it only come in Chinese with no English Subtitle ( the manga I'm reading is in English and released by a local comic company here called Chung Yi) so not worth it. |

I only saw till the part where that redhead was battling with the other units that are controlled by dummies.....

Evangelion, pretty interesting series. Either you love it or you would be completely lost at the end of the series/movie. But you should give it a try since it has a large following in the US / Japan.
