Whilst most of the group did indeed use ranged attacks against it, the crazy fighter in the group jumped off a tree branch onto it's back and rode it, stabbing at the furious Cyclotaur with his blade (just like Sinbad did in the movie). I did that with an aboleth *did I tell ya I hate those things* once... It submerged itself, but the group's wizard cast a spell so I could breathe underwater. Just hung on to and stabbed at it with my sword till it croaked.

Nice. ;D Sometimes, the only way to take down something much bigger than yourself is to jump all over it 'Legolas-style'. My D&D group tend to be rather reckless in the pursuit of monster slaying, which is fine by me. It fits my 'pulp action/adventure' GMing style.
