Okay, LordRavenous. I know for a fekt that you're playing this game by Decipher Games with Dusty and Heath and all. Do tell us how the game mechanics are. How do they fare compared to the d20 system, or even the d10 Cyberpunk 2020 system? Fun stuff?

The books look great though. Had been tempted to pick-up them just to read background on Middle-Earth. Not sure as yet what's a really good and easy to read Middle-Earth resource. I got this 'Tolkien's Middle Earth for Dummies' but no fancy colourfu pics from the movie

Dechipher's CODA system, used both with LOTR and Trek RPGs is a simple system. Very similar to the old WEG d6 system, there is a Target Number, and you only ever need two dice. You roll the two dice, add the nessicary mods and hope to beat the Target Number (TN). We've been playing it for some time now and I do enjoy it. There are those times where the system may be TOO simple. It rates Higher than the Cyberpunk2020 system, but I'm always gonna be a sucker for my D20s.
