This game was recently released on march 2nd. The game focuses on the war in the north of Middle-Earth. While Aragorn helps break the siege of Minas Tirith, the dwarves, elves and men in the north, battle it out in the lonely mountain of Erebor to prevent Sauron's armies from conquering the northern lands.
The Battle for Middle-Earth 2 now provides you with a total of six new factions: Men, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Mordor & Isengard and a whole new bunch of heroes and villains.
One very interesting aspect of this game is... While playing a skirmish map, either multiplayer, online or just against the computer, you can search the battlefield for Gollum. Now the reason for this is to get the One Ring from him. Because once the One Ring is in your posession, you can summon to your aid, Middle-Earth's most powerful heroes.
Another new feature introduced to this game is the ability to create your very own hero. There's several types of hero classes for you to choose ranging from wizards to shield-maidens and to Uruk-Hai and trolls.
