Now, i read this in one of my issues of Scifi Mag. and it read that the Eragon book, the first of three in the Inheritance trilogy, will be made into a movie and that it will be coming out sometime this spring. has any one read the book? what do you think they'll do for bringing the story to the screen?

read it last year. waiting for the 2nd book to come out in smaller "print"! have no intention of carrying with me a humonguos book if i need to read in the train! as for the material, somehow, it DOES have that epic-ness. you DO get a sense of his grand scale. his battles/fight scenes could/should be refined. it's a little too simplistic for my taste. but then again, he's a VERY young writer and states that LOTR series was his base (i think). anyway, more of a simplistic children's yarn, young adultish, but have the chance to grow. personally, if i were to have it in comparison with Jonathan Stroud's Bartimeus Trilogy, would prefer JS! Proly due to his complex writing and cheekiness of his Genie!!!

haven't read Stroud. i've read both books already and met some one in my ancient world class who's read 'em and we've talked about it being a movie, what's going to happen in the last book and such. like will he ever face Mutaugh and kill him? will he be strong enough to defeat Galbortux? will they retrieve the last egg before it hatches? things like that.
