who reads them? i've got a few. the Homeland trilogy, the Last Drow, and the first book in that trilogy. but the guy i lend it to, didn't give it back by the end of the school year. so now i have to do one of two things: either demand it back, nicely, or ask for like 8 or 9 USD to get a new one.

I used to read Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance until they got awful expansive! Got to admit I love the Dark Elf, Moonshae, Avatar trilogies and to a certain extent their sequel trilogies... and whatever that deals with that old rogue Elminster. ;D
Fav character is a straight fight between Drizzt d'urden of FR and Raistlin Majere of DL. Yeah, I like the dark anti-hero types. hehehehe.

A Drizzt movie would be wild. I read a couple FR novels like the Moonshae stuff but it was really the Icewind Dale trilogy that hooked me - RA Salvatore is the man. Then the first few Drizzt novels about his exile from Menzoberranzan were fantastic - the dark elf society was so elaborately created. The character of Drizzt is so intriguing, his inner turmoils, his inner conflict. Yeah, he does remind me a little of Raistlin Majere, and Elric of Melnibone.

that'll be cool, a dark elf movie. though, i had an idea to write to the writers/creators of SG1 to see if they can't write an eppy or two with the drow. it's essentially the surviving drow, nobles and commoners alike, go through the gate to earth, much to the surprise of the command and the team (SG1), and reveal what has happened to their world: utter destruction. The drow would have been arrogant and ignorant of the danger, thinking they'd deal with them easily, but not so. they tell the team/landry that there is no possible way to defeat the Ori unless they band together, with earth's allies.

Cool! I'm not a SG fan but that sounds like something I'd buy for a dollar!
The Drow concept is too rich for The Power That Be to ignore. A movie must be made!
