Errr.....in Asia, Male seldom do several gowns belonging to these characters and actually wearing them. ;D i didn't know, sorry. i don't live in asia. E-Wing, sexuality is a very very sensitive issue in Asia. Its often taboo to even talk about it openly.
Male/female roles here are highly defined and anyone who is even perceived to 'sway' towards the other side is often avoided or ignored. A man wearing women's clothing in public, even as a joke or just for fun, will cause him to be teased until FOREVER! He may even lose their job, lose his credibility or seriously damage his professional and personal reputation as a result...it’s THAT serious here.
Gays who openly admits their sexual preference risks becoming an outcast not only from society but also from their own family. The only exception in this region seem to be Thailand, which is a lot more tolerant towards gays or transexuals…<br> Just recently, a play titled ‘V AGINA MONOLOGUE’ was staged in my town and you wouldn’t believe the uproar it created! And it was a play you have to pay to watch, was staged in an indoor auditorium, and consisted of a bunch of women who pretend that they are individual VAG INAS recounting the problems they go through. Imagine if this was performed in a park or an open air theatre here!
