TS0842, I heard from a very reliable source , that you had made an Imperial Officer Costume. Do you mind sharing with me, how you make it? Yes I do have screen-accurate Imp Officer unifrom. It's also very warm to wear as it is made with wool-material. That was made by professional costumemaker who lives on same city than me. I do not have patterns for that costume. Last time I used that costume on ROTS premiere. Been also on finnish television with that. Don't know do I have anyt of pictures hosted on internet, but my latest upgrade for uniform were new rankplates: img513.imageshack.us/img513/6219/p11800249np.jpgThose I got from Corellian Exports. I'm also famous to travel with my Imp Officer hat. I do have two copies of hat and one of those is always with me around the world. Malaysia has pretty good changes to be the next destination of that hat.

I hope you don't mind providing Corellian Export's website address here as I'm also looking for the Rank Insignia like yours and worn by this Blizzard Force Snowtrooper Lieutenant who went bowling in this pic :
Oh BTW I have checked out the new website of your 501st Nordic Garrison at : www.nordicgarrison.net
I must say that I was pretty impressed with the trailer at the start of your Garrison's website. Congrats for being selected as the Snowtrooper representative for www.nordicgarrison.net and COOL background too :

Corellian Exports' URL can be found here - members.aol.com/corellianexports/main.html. Ah, are we talking about the picture's trooper by the way? I think technically that is a captain's rank in the Imperial army. Heck, it could also mean a Lieutenant. Can't really tell... no distinguishing rank/code cylinders for obvious reasons. Just curious.... been slightly rank obsessed these days. hehehe.

Thanks for the link Rhyden, I'll check this website out. Are you planning to get some Imperial Officer rank insignias from them for your upcoming GALACTIC EMPIRE oriented project? Here let me make it easier for you to distinguish Imperial Officer ranks without those code cylinders that you see on those Field Gray / Black uniformed officers :
Field Grade : LIEUTENANT, Imperial Navy (since there are Red bars on top of the Blue bars)
Field Grade : CAPTAIN, Imperial Navy
Field Grade : COMMODORE, Imperial Navy or equivalent to General Officer in the Imperial Army
Trust this clarifies. Hisham you can add on here since you have provided MySciFiFan with the online reference.

Here's an Imperial Insignia reference guide I've compiled from various sources. Apart from showing the rank plate it also has the number of code cylinders to be worn on both the left and right pockets (represented by the small grey rectangles beside the rank plate)

*nods* Pol's chart is almost identical to the one I normally use to ID ranks... both in TheForce.net, Wiki and other sites who specialises in the imp uniform. Hence my preoccupation for the rank/code cylinders because an additional one or two could mean a significant difference in rank. Yeah, I am looking at several alternatives for the rank plaque. Will of course try to find the switch covers which may allow me the pleasure of working with my hands but we'll see just how 'lazy' I want to get later.

This chart here makes an EXCELLENT reference guide at a glance.
