Hi everyone just found your excellent forum and signed up ;D Well here's a few useless bits of info for you. My names Gary i'm from the UK i have a lifelong general interest in Sci-Fi but my big bug right now is Star Wars Got interested in props and costumes a couple of years back and well you all know how it goes once you head down that road it just drags you in deeper and deeper ;D I'm eternally grateful i live in this day and age where i can trawl through places like this forum and drool over everyones cool collections and amazing prop building skills. I'm sure you will all be a big help in my future quests both collecting and working on props myself. I can't claim to have any great skil but i'm out to learn something and by the way i'm more of a Sith apprentice than a Jedi padawan

My dear fellow 501st MEPD forum member. So glad to see you here. Stay around with us in the next few days and you'll soon see some interesting development with regards to the 501st Legion's activities in MALAYSIA as we participate in the STAR WARS 30th Anniversary Celebrations in this coming weekend's MOVIE CARNIVAL 2007.
Cheers, Peter The Sand OverLord in MEPD forum

Hey there Peter will you be putting on the desert gear for the carnival then ? Must get my TD done i'm notorious at putting things down for months on end i have just ordered my DLT-19 though so when that lands on the doorstep it's bound to spur me on Gary, not this year's Movie Carnival, perhaps MOVIE CARNIVAL 2008! ;D I'll still be trooping as a regular unweathered TK till I retire my current FX Stormtrooper armor for weathering when my TS costume is ready in the next couple of month's time. After that will be my TD.
Are you ordering your DLT-19 from Clutch or from some other prop maker in the UK? I saw that Clutch posted a thread that he will not be shipping his top notch DLT-19 out of the US.
BTW how is the progress of your TD coming along at this moment ?

I'm getting the DLT off the guy in the UK i know him so i'ts mates rates ;D plus like you say Clutch is only delivering within the U.S. Not made a great deal of progress on the TD to be honest been busy with other bits n bobs i've done a bit of weathering but need to build it up more and get some fullers earth. I'm trying to get some money together for the backpack too so no need to hurry till i got cash need a bottomless wallet in this game ;D

Hey Gary, Welcome aboard... and may the force guide your path on your journey in life. My instincts feel that you will not turn to the darkside Maybe not at first hehe as far as I know, most Sith Lords were trained by the Jedi order at the beginning of their life... then later they turn... Also be careful as the Sith Lord can only have 1 apprentice... no more no less as Yoda says... as soon as they find a better potential one.. u better watch your back! heheh Poor poor Count Dooku.. So may the force be with u & guide your path

Thanks for the welcomes everyone You're in the UK, the ONLY skill you need is to find MPPs & Dosimeters! ;D
It's bizzare really because the town i live in has the largest army garrison in the country so you would think that there would be dosimeters all over the place and i think if i'm correct the M.O.D(ministry of defence) used MPP flashes on their cameras but alas i have had little luck i found one MPP that was complete but was in terrible condition and no luck at all with the dosimeters yet it doesn't help that i don't know the particular item/serial number for them
