I'm getting the DLT off the guy in the UK i know him so i'ts mates rates ;D plus like you say Clutch is only delivering within the U.S. Not made a great deal of progress on the TD to be honest been busy with other bits n bobs i've done a bit of weathering but need to build it up more and get some fullers earth. I'm trying to get some money together for the backpack too so no need to hurry till i got cash need a bottomless wallet in this game ;D Gary, have you gotten your DLT-19 as yet? Also are you already a member of the 501st UK Garrison?
As for me, I'll start on making my TD Backpack frame after I've completed the mods on my Vintage Kenner Han Solo blaster to that of the TESB styled DL-44 with some Resin and machined Aluminium parts that I've procured.

Certainly have got it ;D and it's fantastic It actually took a week from ordering it to landing on my doorstep which is quick when you consider they are made to order. It's not broke it comes in 3 sections the receiver and barrell screw together kind of like a snooker cue the bipod also comes seperate and bolts on. I am registered on the UKG forum but i'm not a cleared member yet. The guy i got the DLT off is also working on a TD backpack kit so i'm holding off too see what they are like but knowing him they will be great and it will save me having to get pieces from here there and everywhere. He was also talking of doing a T-21/Lewis but im not sure if he will now as the laws on replicas are changing in october in the UK You're building your own frame ? cool what you making it with ? i'd like to see the DL-44 too when its done ;D

Thanks it really is a great blaster he even got the paint mixed to match the original finish on the deactivated M34 he cast it off ;D Sadly though come october it will be illegal to buy, sell, trade and import or export replica guns in the UK so our days of getting cool stuff like this are numbered

It's not broke it comes in 3 sections the receiver and barrell screw together kind of like a snooker cue the bipod also comes seperate and bolts on. Gary your newly acquisitioned DLT-19 is a WORK of ART, and I wish that these could be available in Malaysia and at an affordable price. Also thanks for sharing this WIP pic in MEPD and hope that you won't mind me posting it here for the benefit of this forum :
Good thing it is made in the more durable fibreglass, over say resin casting. The fact that you can unscrew the Barrel from the Receiver makes it MORE PRACTICAL for you carry it around with you in its unassembled state from your house to your trooping venue. Otherwise it will be very difficult to conceal a realistic looking replica WWII weapon in all its 4 feet glory, shown fully assembled with the proud owner (StukaTrooper) :
which something that will attract UNWANTED attention esp from the Law Enforcement Authorities, after what happened to an unfortunate 501st TAG member that we have been discussing in thread STAR WARS Costumer ARRESTEDI am registered on the UKG forum but i'm not a cleared member yet. The guy i got the DLT off is also working on a TD backpack kit so i'm holding off too see what they are like but knowing him they will be great and it will save me having to get pieces from here there and everywhere. He was also talking of doing a T-21/Lewis but im not sure if he will now as the laws on replicas are changing in october in the UK Do share the good news with us when you have become a TD in the 501st Legion and a member of the 501st UK Garrison. ;D As a matter of fact our latest member TK 8598 procured his Resin conversion parts for his Hasbro E-11 rom the said UK guy that you've mentioned. Those are really TOP Notch pieces and wish that I've discovered him much earlier. I'm sure the TD Backpack Kit that he is making will turn out GREAT, any idea when he will be able to get it ready for you? You're building your own frame ? cool what you making it with ? i'd like to see the DL-44 too when its done ;D Not exactly, I'm using my existing Vintage Kenner Han Solo Blaster frame since I do NOT have the equipment nor time to build a DL-44 frame myself. As a matter of fact, despite it being almost 30 years old today, it is still passable since I intend for it to go as a *Side Arm* for my current costume project (take a look at my Avatar image to figure who he is ) and do not intend to have it as an accurate prop display piece. Below is a picture of Vintage Kenner Han Blaster with the Machined Aluminium Muzzle from BlasTech PLUS the Machined Aluminium and Resin Casted pieces that I've procured from Correllian Exports.
It will be a delicate job as I intend to have the sound mechanism in working order after the Cutting and Hacking that is required for the conversion. It is always COOL to hear sounds coming out from your blaster when you go trooping compared to carrying a mute Blaster prop.

Thanks ;D you'll have to forgive my ignorance but is there a reason you can't get prop guns iin Malaysia is it a legal type problem ? No problem with posting the pic feel free Yeah the fibreglass constructions really good it is really tough i wouldn't go chucking it around but it wonts snap like some of the poorer resins ones do with the slightest knock. I'm not sure when he will get the back packs done i don't know where he finds the time to sleep to be honest aswell as the kits he does on ebay he does work on tv shows and theatrical productions and i know of a couple of other big projects he is working on too he also supplies parts to other people too that sell built blasters on ebay so he's a busy man ;D The kit you got there for the DL-44 looks pretty darn good to me and yeah blaster sounds are definitely cool just out of curiosity where you get those brass mounting bolts for the scope ? i have an original M38 scope but someones broken the screws off in the holes i need to drill them out should be fun with a hand drill i really need a pillar drill You're doing a snowtrooper commander wow what an awsome costume are you getting one of those kits off Laws ? or doing your own ?

Gary, owning any kind of firearm in Malaysia, imitation or otherwise, is both a legal and national security issue. In severe cases, a person can be detained under the ISA (Internal Security Act) and jailed for up to 2 years WITHOUT TRIAL. Those who are convicted of violent crimes using firearms are liable to be executed by hanging.
Anyone here who builds/collects firearms without a license risk being arrested, but there are still those passionate ones who push on, either scratch building or converting from toy guns. So far no one has gotten into trouble yet as long as they display their weapons while wearing a costume, and keep their weapons properly concealed during transportation. But yeah we risk bring arrested every time we go out trooping with a weapon of any kind, even swords & daggers.
Oh I think those brass bolts came from Vince of Correllian Export. Here's his sale thread in the RPF:
FS - M19, M32 or M38a2 Bolts for your Blasters - $5 each!
