I'll be sure to post in the introduction thread right away, just so excited i finally found a decent priced, high quality made kit...though one question, I am not in Malaysia, and am currently in the United States, do those people who make the clone armor kits sell world wide, or just europe/ asia? I would definitely pay extra for shipping just to the United States, I mean look at stormtrooper armor on ebay, 600+ dollars just for a untrimmed kit + shipping, while here you get a trimmed kit, for less than 600. Thank you for making this thread Sith lord, you really made my day when I saw this thread. Hi frost151500, I've replied to your PM.
Thanks for posting those threads at the INTRODUCTIONS section of MySciFiFan forums. E-mail the maker and see what he says about orders from outside Malaysia and Singapore.
Glad to have made your day as it is part of our startegy to GROW the number of Armored Imperial Troopers and expand the Active Membership base of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST.
BTW my nick is The SITH OverLORD and NOT a mere sith lord.

frost151500,
Assuming you have acquired this Ep III Clonetrooper armor kit, which color scheme will you be following?
I actually had plans to do a Commander Bly costume myself, but changed my mind to an Original Trilogy trooper instead.

Well I was thinking a plain white normal clone trooper, clean armor, or slightly weathered, not heavly weathered. But then again I like the 501st blue design, but then again, I dont know how the do the chipped paint effect to make it look battle damaged. So if I do purchase this, I will just keep it clean and white for a while, until I finally learn to weather and chip paint.

I dont know how the do the chipped paint effect to make it look battle damaged. I'm always of the opinion that 'REAL' weathering and battle damage is the way to go.
Meaning you paint your armor in the desired colour scheme, as it would look straight out of the factory, and then put it on to run through a wooded area, among bushes and shrubs, walk through rivers, climb some hill, and roll in the mud if you can.
Or wear it for a game of paintball where you'd need to jump, roll and slide to avoid being shot.
After all that, just rinse off the loose dirt and mud and you should have a realistic looking battle damaged and weathered armor ;D

Get the armor assembled before you proceed to the next step. I've provided you with a URL link in my PM response to a "virtual location" where you can get proper guidance on weathering.

If I had 1000 dollars to spare, I would buy a kit from ebay on instant, because some kits use the 501st FX stormtrooper kits and through in a body suit, boots, shoulder pad, and a bunch of fancy things for less. But since I dont have much right now, if I could get clone armor for 200 USD that would be my buy then.

But since I dont have much right now, if I could get clone armor for 200 USD that would be my buy then. Hey frost151500,
First and foremost, although the majority of the Stormtrooper "TK" costumers in the 501st Legion wear the FX Stormtrooper armor kit, the 501st Legion is in NO WAY ASSOCIATED with FX as what you have incorrectly mentioned as "501st FX stormtrooper kits". So please take NOTE of your INACCURATE statement. Thank you.
Secondly, have you sent an E-MAIL to check with the maker of the fibreglass and resin Episode III Clonetrooper Armor Kit, inwhich I've PMed you the necessary information?
If the US$199 clonetrooper armor that you are referring to is the made in CHINA set, which is currently listed in eBay, then you had better check the Pros and Cons comparison that I've as well as clonetrooper have made in comparison to the made in Singapore fan-made set. They can be found in the earlier posted replies in this SAME thread.
IMO, a person who wearing this US$199 Clonetrooper will stand a SLIM chance to be qualified to join the 501st, unless he has spend quite a fair amount of time and effort to modify and make this costume presentable. Since you are in the state of Ohio, you may want to e-mail the Garrison Membership Liaison Officer of the 501st Ohio Garrison to seek his opinion on this set of Made In CHINA Armor.

Oh I'm sorry, I didnt see the chinese one was 200 USD, I ws reading every message from the topic and got confused about what was what, since things are now cleared up I will resay some things: 1. Sorry about the confusion and my statment about the "501st fx kits" I was always told contact them since someone i talked to bought it from them, So i suspected maybe they sold them somewhere on their main website, guess not. 2. I was confused about the 200 dollar pricing, I thought it was the singapore armor for 200 dollars. It reality it is the chinese. Looking at larger images in ebay does show the low quality and low detail, the only good looking peice is the helmet..which even that has very low detial, better to go with stormtrooper or cloentrooper armor fx or from singapore. 3. The seller from singapore will not respond to my emails after days of waiting. I have contacted him once and still have not recieved anything. Only us at Myscififan know of his kits/ maybe a few other people like his friends, but the demand cant be that high since only a few know about it. Oh and The Sith Over Lord, If he doesnt respond to my email at all within another half week or week, will you please PM me the pricing on his fine set of armor? I cant get him to email back...Thank you. EDIT: I recently looked on Ebay for more armor and found a few interesting things. Some I would never buy but stil lthought you guys might think are cool. 1. I saw a proffesinally made child clone trooper kit like the adult kits you see around...but for kids....MUCH better than the crappy rubies halloween costume. cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Clone-Trooper-Prop-Armor-Costume-Child-NR_W0QQitemZ130071639832QQihZ003QQcategoryZ99970QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem2. I found a person who think makes resin cast of his own scultped helmets. They are HIGHLY DETAILED. looks 100% like a Master Replica helmet, just unpainted. He sells black casted helmets all one peice. No assembly, besides adding the airators..you have to cut holes for that...and the visor area. He also sells several clone helmets that have been painted in the 501st blue design, and shoch trooper designs, the shocks are new looking, not weathered, while the 501st blue design is new, but the paint have been chipped to look battle damaged cgi.ebay.com/Life-Size-Star-Wars-CLONE-TROOPER-Helmet-1-1-Kit_W0QQitemZ140077685617QQihZ004QQcategoryZ790QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem3. Finally, a poor old woman is selling her shock trooper painted chinese armor. She bought this from her "friend" and is reselling it for 600 USD...who would buy this when if you want the same armor, you cna buy it NEW for 200 USD from the maker in china. cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-CLONE-SHOCKTROOPER-ARMOR-COSTUME-PROP-ABS_W0QQitemZ260077537063QQihZ016QQcategoryZ60361QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
