Hello all!
Tolkien fans had a great time last weekend at Starlight Cinema’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy Marathon from Saturday 16 July to Sunday 17 July. It was probably also the only night which didn’t rain over the week! Magic powers at work, no? Look up some pictures taken of MySciFiFan’s Lord of the Rings Contingent here:

Forum users might have noticed a new feature recently activated known as Karma. Karma is basically a member rating system based on their actions. If you feel a member has done something good, you would give them positive karma, if you feel they have done something bad, you give them negative. This system either adds or subtracts 1 from the users karma count. The exalt link gives the user positive karma, and the smite gives them negative. You are limited to 1 issue of karma each hour to avoid foul play.
With a growing pool of community members, the Admin is looking into reviving regular Meetups for members of similar interests to come together for Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, or other genres. What are meetups? Informal meetings without any pre-planned agenda, typically for 10 or less participants. May be held at public or private venues. Whilst RVSPs are not as essential as for gatherings, the meetup organisor or host would appreciate indicative numbers in advance.
