Next Sunday 3 December, the MySciFiFan Outpost will host our first Toys Flea Market. From 12pm to 7pm, collectors are invited to setup 'stall' of toys collectibles and memorabilia. Take this opportunity to sell your pre-loved goodies. Only limited 'stalls', i.e. tables, are available. It's already December! In line with the Holiday mood, MySciFiFan has several activities lined up for the community:

1. Toys Flea Market, Sunday 3 December 2006 in the MySciFiFan Outpost, Cineleisure Damansara: Find good bargain for pre-loved toys from fellow collectors setting up stall within the Outpost from 1pm to 7pm. Goodies available include action figures from toy majors plus trading gashapons. Please note that subsequent to the earlier calender notification, the Movie & Collectibles Bazaar is not held this weekend 2-3 December.

2. Modeller's Workshop: Weathering Armoured Vehicles - Part 1, Sunday 3 December 2006 in the MySciFiFan Outpost, presented by the Selangor & Federal Territory Plastic Modelling Society (SFTPMS) from 11am to 1pm.

3. Dejavu Movie & Dinner Package, Sunday 3 December 2006, 9.25pm at Cathay Cineplex and MySciFiFan Outpost. Available as a package for RM23/- comprising 1 movie ticket and set dinner with starter, meal, dessert and drink. 5. CosCom 2006, 16-17 December 2006 at Cineleisure Damansara in conjunction with Sci-Fi & Fantasy Festival. Inviting all costumers and cosplayers from all genres to participate in the inaugral CosCom Costume Competition. The competition will begin with a costume showcase from 8pm to 9.30pm on Saturday and finals on 12pm to 1pm on Sunday. MySciFiFan Update - 28 December 2006

Celebrate this New Year's Eve at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara for a host of festivities including celebrity artists, street party, and awesome fireworks. Need a break from the hustle and bustle? Head over to the MySciFiFan Outpost at Cineleisure for cool refreshments and sumptous meal all day. The Outpost will be open late into the first hour of 2007 and welcomes all to hang-out whilst the smoke and traffic clears in the aftermath of the countdown fireworks.

2007 looks to be a great year for sci-fi movie fans with highly anticipated releases for Transformers, Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Fantastic Four 2, Aliens Vs. Predator 2, and more. In addition, Star Wars fans will be celebrating 30 years of The Force!

1. Star Trek Fan Gathering & Screening, Sunday 14 January 2006, 1pm to 6pm at the MySciFiFan Outpost, Cineleisure: Casual gathering for Trekkies over lunch to meet fellow fans followed by screenings of selected "Best of..." Star Trek episodes. Test your Trek trivia and stand to win some goodies.

2. Weathering SFV Part II by SFTPMS, Sunday 14 January 2006, 11am to 1pm at the MySciFiFan Outpost: Armor modellers take note that the Selangor and Federal Territory Plastic Modellers Society, SFTPMS, will be conducting their 2nd workshop on weathering. Topics presented include Base Preparation - The Dark Base Method, Lower Hull Weathering, Upper Hull Weathering, and Tracks Weathering.

3. Boardgame Demo: Betrayal at House on the Hill, Saturday 13 January 2006, 12pm noon to 3pm at the MySciFiFan Outpost: Come join this party boardgame session combining mystery solving, role-play and lots of laughter. Costuming enthusiasts, take note of the upcoming Costume Workshop this Sunday 21 January, 2-3pm at the MySciFiFan Outpost, Cineleisure Damansara. The first in our series of costume workshops will focus on movie-inspired Jedi costumes from the Star Wars Saga. Find out the components that comprise Jedi clothing as well as receive guidance and tips on how to make your very own costume. Jedi costumers are encouraged to attend suitably attired and share with their costume quest experience. You may also take this opportunity to pose as your very own 'action figure' against our life-size carded figure backdrop. Attendees who register in advance by e-mailing [e-mail] their name and handphone contact number will be entitled to a 10% discount of food & drinks at the Outpost for the day.

Need a place for boardgaming? The MySciFiFan Outpost is available to host boardgamers every day of the week from 11.30am to 10.30pm and upto midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Either bring your own boardgames to play or choose from amongst our selection. A host of designer games, such as Descent, Settlers of Catan, Blokus, Carcasonee, etc. are also available for purchase. Next Saturday 27 January, the Outpost will be hosting a Launch Party for AT-43, the latest sci-fi miniature war game. The last launch party ran till midnight, so get lots of rest for marathon boardgaming.

Modellers and miniature gamers take note the Selangor & Federal Territory Plaster Modellers' Society (SFTPMS) will be conducting their next Modelling Workshop on Working with Plaster on Sunday 28 January from 11am to 1pm at the MySciFiFan Outpost. SFTPMS resident expert will cover topics on: types of plaster, properties & limitations of plaster in dioramas, mixing & applying plaster, using plaster for groundwork & walls/bricks/rubble, and closing with Q&A.
