Outpost Newsflash - Transformers Meetup, Saturday 20 January 2007, 7.30pm to 10pm.
Calling Transformers fans to Meetup this Saturday 20 January 2007 at the MySciFiFan Outpost, Cineleisure Damansara, to begin counting down to this year's upcoming blockbuster Transformers movie in July. Meet fellow fans between 7.30pm to 10pm over a video montage of Transformers series from Generation 1 to Cybertron and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the animated Transformers Movie. The meetup will conclude with a sneak peak of the upcoming live-action movie. Bring along a Transformer memorabilia (toy, t-shirt, comic, etc.) to receive a 15% discount on food and drinks during the meetup.

25 January 2007Boardgamers take heed of the AT-43 Launch Party this Saturday 27 January at the MySciFiFan Outpost, Cineleisure. AT-43 is the latest pre-painted, non-collectible, sci-fi miniature wargame now available for play-testing between 12pm noon to 3pm. Also available to try-out will be Hybrid, Confrontation and Advance Squad Leader. Not interested in any of these games? You are most welcome to bring your own boardgames or loan those from the Outpost as there will be ample gamers available at the party. Modellers and miniature war gamers also take note of the Working with Plaster Workshop on this Sunday 28 January, 11am to 1pm conducted by the Selangor & Federal Territory Plaster Modellers' Society (SFTPMS) at the MySciFiFan Outpost. Topics on types of plaster, properties & limitations of plaster in dioramas, mixing & applying plaster, and using plaster for groundwork & walls/bricks/rubble, with Q&A should be most helpful in building model dioramas or miniature wargame terrain. Jedi, Sith, Rebels, Imperials, bounty hunters, etc. are invited for Star Wars Costume Day this coming Thursday 1 February at Cineleisure, centred around the MySciFiFan Outpost and ShiokToys.com (lower ground floor). Join us during the afternoon and you may get to meet Darth Vader and other notable characters. Also take the opportunity to poase as your very own 'action figure' against our life-size carded figure backdrop.
