Well, that "Elven" Scout Trooper is waiting to be worn ever since I first gotten the Armor from Kropserkel a few years ago. Sadly, I don't have Dremal Tool or Drill, some extra parts cost a lot and suck at Props Making so been depending on some to help me put them together. Come worse, back to my Pilot then which is a PAIN to see through. Well,as you buds know,CF is one of the many ACG events,so I guess that involves characters from movies and comic too,no? I only been to CF in 2004 and I wore Movie-related costumes for both days with no problem tho' few knew what I was. Ever since then, I haven't check out photos from the event or talking much at the CF Forum so not sure how many more Movie Costumers/Cosplayers had pop up there. But since I'm at the edge of retiring from Cosplaying to go back and concentrate more on Costuming, guess now is the time to wear more my Anime/Manga Costumes before I hang them up for God knows how long. A few of them haven't been worn before either or worn once so now is the time. As for how much Cosplay covers, hard to say as really varies from country to country, person to person. Personally, I don't see Movie Costumes & Armor as Cosplay ( I get to know Costuming first FYI and already an active costumer by the time I got to know about Cosplay) but then again, can always follow what the Japanese Cosplayers do which if I remember correctly does cover everything in the Media regardless of Western or Eastern or Historical origin. Anyway, will look forward to seeing you all. I'll be staying at Melia across the road to BTS ( cheaper for me as am staying alone...unless some gal suddenly asked to be my roommate).

cosplay in malaysia to me actually sucks. every year is the same characters bleach, naruto, final fantasy. zzzzzzzzz, ive seen to many narutos to hate it already. i would change my thinking when i see a mecha cosplayer. the closest thing to a mecha was victor von doom last year. if i dun see any changes in cosplaying than i will have to take matters in my own hands. will probably go as mazinger next year, if i have the time to make one. mayb 2years later cos nex year im pack with other projects.
yo red royal guard, u want a challenge? i challenge u to a mecha battle. make a known mecha costume from any anime using u know wat.

Singapore does have a very few Mecha Cosplayers, majority Gundam but they all made their stuffs from Cardboards and Plastic Cogulated Board etc. One of them even destroy his Body Armor every time after the event. As for Malaysia, well, if you think you can do it then DO IT! Talk only no point so best you be the first the make the change to the Cosplay Scene in Malaysia. And hope the scene there don't decline in Moral like here in Singapore. Many of the Noob here don't respect us the Senior and the made the quality of costume from certain titles goes down the drain again when the rest of us had been raising its standard throughout the years.

I have to agree with you there, Haldir. This forum have seen so many members who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. We've seen those who plan massive costuming projects but when push comes to shove, they vanish into thin air. We need pro-active people who will actually carry out not just costuming projects, but also innovative ones. Think transforming Transformers costume and the like. Otherwise, we get the same costumes from the same people year in year out.

im not just talking, those who knows me know that i dun tok crap. like i said i have other projects to do next year like making spawn, saber rider, hosting stargate malaysia outpost, hosting counterstrike gathering, figuring out how to make a proton pack and so on. so if i have time to add a mecha in i would. but wat i was really pointing out was, malaysian cosplay scene has the same kind of characters day in day out. at least sg cosplayers have some mecha, but as far as i know, i hav never seen a mecha been made by anyone, its all the same stuffs. unless of cos those who really make sum cool looking props, then i respect that.
