That's the idea. The whole reasoning behind that is that there are always a few idiots around attempting to spoil the book for everybody, so I made sure to read it all in a day without human contact. And I was right. The day right after I bought and finished it (July 16, I bought it, and finished it) someone told me a major spoiler which I could then happily shrug off since I knew it already. ^_^

Bought my copy at Popular yesterday. Have only read up till Chapter 3 so far. I made the mistake of lurking in a US forum board where they were discussing this book and I accidentaly discovered a major spoiler. Aaarrghhh!!
Oh well. No big deal.

How so with anyone at the 7.01am opening? Mad rush? Well in Singapore, Borders is the only one who opened from Friday Morning to Sat nite to cater to all the Kiasu HP Fans lining up and organized some small party for those there. I came around 10pm on Fri to pass my friend's sister school robe to her and the line already stretch for about 40 people. There are also staffs or hired people in generic Hermione, Harry Potter, Hagrid and Dumbeldor costume taking photos with people there or giving out sweets. The funny thing is, the Hagrid is slightly shorter than my friend's sister! ;D When I arrived again at 6.55am on Sat with friends in toll, there are some 100(?) people lined up inside and outside Borders to get their books and the countdown was a blast! Later there is a semi-mad rush for those lining up to get their books. At Kino, the staffs only wore Witch Hats and the HBP T-Shirt, compared to 2 years ago when they had 4-5 of their staffs in generic Wizard costumes. But some of the staffs remembered friends and me when they saw us in costume and we showed them a photos we took there 2 years ago. On the costuming side, my friends and I are the only ones in proper PoA School Uniform ( Harry, Luna, Black-Hair Draco, Slytherin Prefect & Hufflepuff Student) with 2 of our members as half-dressed student James Potter and Sirius Black. There are 3-4 other people in SS/CoS School Robes only and a few others wearing White Shirt, Raffles' Girl Secondary School Tie ( since they have Green & Silver Strips BUT with also Black Strips) and some fancy pleated short skirts. There is also some fellow in a robe and a gal with Gryffindor Scarf and a hat like the Cat-In-The-Hat hat. Aftermath, I was quoted in the local newspaper saying about how long I took to make mine and friends robes which they wrongly labelled as Cloak instead. I was also labelled as a Gryffindor Prefect when I obviously was a Slytherin Prefect! And on Mon, the 4 people of us ( Harry, Lune, Draco & me) appeared on the first page of the Life! Section ( the entertainment section of our local Strait Times). My opinion: How come none of the bookshops in Singapore organized a Costumes Contest? Thot they saw what my group can give them on the Book Release Day when we attack Borders and Kino here in our full HP Costumes 2 years ago? Okay, I still haven't gotten my copy yet so will appreaciate if people here keep a little spoiler free till tomorrow nite can since I'm getting it tomorrow. Ya, am a little slow this time.

Should have rephrased it another way...like, "Itzchy, is it true something happened to Dumbledore?"
Eh. Too late now, I guess ;D
