Believe it or not, I actually met some of Garrison Carida when I was living in DC. A friend of mine does X-Wing pilot cosplay with them, and invited me to hang out when they escorted Tim Zahn to a local book signing. I got to try on some of the armor and... well, I'll just say I have a LOT of respect for you guys!  |

You tried on some Stormtrooper armor? and even escorted the famous STAR WARS author to a local book signing event? EXCELLENT! Do you have any pics to share.
FYI, MALAYSIA and BRUNEI have just been accepted into the ranks of the 501st Legion w.e.f. 26 January 2006 this year. We may be small in numbers compared to the larger Garrisons and Outposts in the U.S., but our ENTHUSIASM and DEDICATION makes up for what we lack in number. in MySciFiFan's 2004 Halloween Celebration. Here she is posing with a Lord Of The Ring - Easterling Costumer :

I'm not much of an anime fan but I do watch (and like) a few of them. I'm more of a sci-fi at heart. ;D Speaking of which, do you know of Avatar: The Last Airbender?

hey everybody, sorry I've been offline for so long, I've been having trouble connecting to streamyx all week long. (I'm on a Jaring dialup connection right now.^^ The SITH OverLORD: I'll look for those photos asap, though I remember that I didn't take any pics of me in trooper armor because I only tried on a helmet and one of those... chest parts... long enough to know that I don't have enough dedication to be doing that particular costume anytime soon. ;D I'll ask my friend if she's on the 501st forum. Hello jadenlee, Plo Strax-Avix, Lord Wudious, Rhyden and Haldir, and thanks for the welcome!! Lord W, I liked the look of Avatar but I haven't seen many episodes. (To be honest, I don't watch much TV.^^ I've heard good things about it, though, so I'll try to watch more of it if I can convince my nephews to turn off the Disney Channel once in a while. ;D |
