Hi everyone! I came upon your community through the Star's article on cosplay today.^_^ I recently moved back from the States where I was an avid cosplayer, so I was SO happy to see a thriving cosplay community here! I cosplay primarily from anime series (though I dream of making an Old Republic Jedi ensemble... someday... *starry eyes*) Some of my favorite anime/manga series are Bleach, Fruits Basket, Ah! My Goddess, Cardcaptor Sakura, Mushishi, Ouran Host Club, Kodocha, ARIA, Ghost in the Shell, Miyazaki films, Yakitate! Japan, Whistle!, and many many more. but not Naruto. Sorry, I just couldn't get into it. Anyway! In addition to anime, I'm also a fan of the original SW trilogy; ST: TNG (I was a cofounder of the Malaysian ST fan club back in the day - anyone remember that? ); Babylon 5; LOTR; and lots of those wonderful old 80s' kids' cartoons and series like Galaxy Rangers, Transformers, Voltron, and Captain Power. Oh, the memories. I look forward to participating in this community and hopefully meeting some of you one day! Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!...ok, i'll shut up now.#^__^#

Welcome, welcome to MALAYSIA's Happenin' online Science, Fiction and NEWLY IDed Sci-Fi and Fantasy Cosplaying community. We look forward to catch up with you for the forthcoming BIG EVENT of the year, that is MySciFiFan's HALLOWEEN 2006 Celebration that will be held at Cineleisure (opposite IKANO Power Centre). As fishyahoo has given you the URL link already, I urge you to go and CHECK it out. This will be your maiden event for you to actively participate with the MySciFiFan community.
As you are an avid cosplayer, mind sharing with us what costumes do you have with you at this moment?

The only one I brought back with me is Rukia Kuchiki from BLEACH, most of my costumes are in storage at the moment^^; but you're welcome to browse my Cosplay.com gallery.#^^# I'm hoping to add more costume photos soon. Thank you!!! and thanks for letting me know about the Cineleisure event. I'll certainly try to make it there! Not sure how to pronounce your user name though... as Dr EMH guessed below, it's pronounced "hayashi" I started using it because on another board I was on, someone else already took that name, so I just substituted some numbers. and then I started using that name everywhere because it was always available.^_^

We had a newsletter called Databanks, and at least one gathering... and then all the founding members went overseas to study and that was kind of the end of it. I'm glad to see that there are still so many active fans now!
