You must make the hole a bit smaller if you are intending to use the screws only.
A hole that is the same size will not hold the screw.

Roight-o Douglas. We'll definately keep that in mind. Well, to the administrators, how exactly do we go about posting the pictures? Can we post them to this forum directly? We are of course open to any suggestions ;D
Oh yeah, Sabermaster... We have most of the tools you mentioned except the drill press and hot air gun.
Yes, the trials have begun for us. And so, wish us luck.
May the Force be with you all!

Well, to the administrators, how exactly do we go about posting the pictures? Can we post them to this forum directly? We are of course open to any suggestions ;D No worries Marcus, happy to be of help here. Firstly, you register and open up a FREE Account with www.photobucket.com. Thereafter, photobucket will send you an e-mail to your registered e-mail address with your Log-In Password and ID. Follow the instructions to get your FOC account activated. Once this is done, create any Photo Album you and upload all your digital camera images there. Please ensure that these are either .jpeg or .gif to ensure a smooth uploading process. When you want to post an image from your PhotoBucket account to the forums, just click onto this icon " " on the menu bar. Just insert the given URL link from your PhotoBucket Album and VOILA! your pic(s) are up in MySciFiFan Forums. ;D Now, try this you must!

Just found another piece of hardware that can be use to make the blade of the lightsaber glows brighther.
A side emitting optic fibres being connected to a 3-Watt Luxeon LED. Similar to the EL wire but Brighter!
You can even change the colour of the light on the spot!

Is that a result of joint efort between you and Mr Engineer?
So now you're gonna make another blade for your existing hilt with the new technology? Or make a completely new Saber hilt for that?

It is my own research on something even brighter. Mmmmm...... very tempting to make a new hilt.

Ahhhh. Don't worry. It will be complete. I think I will just hop over to Pasar Road to get an Acrylic Tube.
The polycabonate one can be done later.
The difference is that Acrylic strenght is 9000 psi whereas polycarbonate is 10000 psi.

I am very new to this. Is there a list of parts to buy? I have been to a few sites but nothing to say this is what you need and how many of this and this ect....and this is how you build it. Also I have never seen any homemade sabers. So are there pics available? also what do you make the blades out of? All help is appriciated.
