I'll always be an Imperial Royal Guard/Sovereign Protector FIRST being the first in Singapore to put up a presentable one back in 2001. Who else in Singapore is crazy enough to try to make everything, including what's underneath the Cloak, similar to the original? ;D I am not doing it to just join the Legion ( tho' that was one of the reasons for me to pick up IRG back in 2000 when I first started working on it) but because I LOVE the IRG the moment I "first" watch ROTJ in 1995. Anyhow, hope to go back to this project as soon as I complete my Scout in between upgrading my TIE Pilot And need to start looking for Maroon Silk Velvet, maybe a heavier Crimson Velvet, Tap Head and that Deep Sea Fishing rod......

Haldir, do you mind posting a scanned picture here of your how you looked like as Singapore's FIRST Imperial Royal Guard with a costume that is complete everything, including what's underneath the Cloak, similar to the original? ;D

Sadly, as they're all photos from a regular film camera and all scans from those era are mostly stucked inside the PC I used to use whose USB port is sooooo outdated and CD-Drive can only read so I doubt I have any online yet. And strangely, I never did managed to taka a photo of me showing the full underneath ( aka wearing the Obi and Belt too). Did my costume in stages back then in 2000-2001, thanks to the helmet arriving late and due to lack of events before 2005, I got very few photos of me as IRG in my full suit tho' a selected few had seen it in person. Anyhow, am going redo the whole thing again and there gonna be 4 layers of cloths this time with 2 of them real velvet ( will see if I can find a velvet wide enough to do the ROTJ Cloak and play around with the "method" LisaFett cook up for Azeem's Cloak. If not, do ROTS Cloak I must tho' I'm not so keen to do a Hybrid again as want to do all 4 versions eventually and the only thing they share is the helmet and maybe boots). And of course, my Forcepike sucks back then as the standard for entry wasn't tat high back in 2001 and I followed Azeem's basic Forcepike tutorial ( minus the tap head. apparently back then I can't figure out how to glue a tap head that big to a pole that thin) It's all a question of looking "presentable" back then remember and there is no proper CRL? That's why I need the Deep Sea Fishing Rod or Snookel Pole for a new proper Forcepike.

I think I shall embark on version 3 soon... but I'm thinking along the lines of "what if a Mandalorian trained the Royal Guards?..." ;D My idea is for aMandalorian OC who is supposed to have trained the Royal Guards. His armour and bucket will remain Mandalorian for the most part, but it'll be red, with a long cape and possibly some sort of forcepike. We shall see....

Red, may I enquire as to what's happening with the robe you're making for me? I sent you the material months ago, and have yet to hear back from you about it.
If you can't do the job then you should let me know and return the material, and refund the money I paid you.

My apologies, Peter, as I did not intend to MISLEAD anyone intending to join the 501st or trying to put together a canon costume... You may remove the post if that so pleases you.
