Well done Kal! No wonder I sensed a disturbance in the Force! I knew a new Sith Lord was about to rise!
Do post pics of yourself in the full costume soon!
Again, congrats! Make that a TOTAL of 3 DARK LORDS of the SITH, who MUST ANSWER their call of duty to the 501st MALAYSIA / BRUNEI Outpost! ;D

I've seen this up on Ebay selling for more than USD200... that's more than the cost of my helmet! Besides I've already constructed mine, almost similar looking but it does the job just fine and I spent no more than RM20 for it.

Well, then you should seriously consider making them for sale...
Speciality custom prop replica is a highly profitable niche market...

The thought has crossed my mind... but that important ingredient (and luxury) of time is sadly unavailable due to my hectic work schedule... that's why it took me 6 months to start working on the helmet in the first place... sigh.

More pics of my work in progress Vader: It's amazing how shiny it gets with 3 coats of automotive paint (inclusive of clearcoat). Here's a pic of it with my shin guards... also 3 coats. Polishing it with some Turtle Wax makes it even more shinier. A look at my ESB chestbox. I'm currently working on the belt boxes... also waiting for the aluminium buckle I ordered. With that I've got all the necessary hard parts. Onto the soft parts... boy do I need a break. ;D

Wow, a good few coats of auto paint sure made that Rubies costume something to shout about!
Again, great job Kal!
I have not yet seen a Rubies Vader costume up close. How good is the cape? Is it good to go or do you need to get a new one made?
I understand the bodysuit is also a bit on the shiny side, is that true?

I understand the bodysuit is also a bit on the shiny side, is that true? I only got the hard parts, Pol... got it off a Belgian guy on the RPF. The rest of the stuff have to make myself. But I did hear about the body suit being shiny... but they rectified that with the V2... looks more leathery.
